  • Vegas vs Miami

    Trying to plan a 2 week vacation for July. I originally planned all 14 days in Vegas but that got cut short as I will be spending 7 of the 14 days in NYC. Can't decide what to do with the remaining days. Options are:
    Week in Vegas then South Beach in Dec.
    Week in South Beach then Vegas in Dec.
    or Both??(Fri-Mon in South Beach and Tue-Fri in Vegas)

    All tips, comments and opinions are appreciated.

    I was in Miami this past April. Stayed at Fountainbleau, amazing hotel. Far as nightlife goes to I been to LIV and Arkadia which was in the Fountainbleau also I been to Mansion nightclub.

    All of these places had amazing vibe but LIV was speechless. LIV can be really pain in the ass to get in if you don't have the connection or 7 smoking hot girls with you, i was staying at the hotel and i was there with high executives from my job so i was in with no problems. Biggest issue with getting into LIV is there are no lines people just pile up in front the ropes and tries to get bouncers/hosts attention.

    For daytime I can suggest Clevelander, great drinks, awesome patio party. Make sure to get drinks at Wet Willies's its a must try place for frozen alcoholic beverage. Nikki Beach is a pretty popping place as well. W hotel and Delano hotel is pretty hotspots for the day and nightlife. And Rooftop Lounge at the Townhouse Hotel pretty sweet and chill spot.

    Most importantly amazing beaches, amazing ocean and amazingly gorgeous women. And so many different activities you can get into during the daytime.

    Now some negative things i didn't like about miami;

    1- Cab drivers: Comparing to Vegas they are extremely rude, no personality , horrible drivers , most of them barely speaks English.

    2- Servers/Waitresses: Other than the Fountainbleau staff I was really suprised that most places I been to in South beach service sucked, lazy, again no personality, doesn't care if you are happy with the service or not. Most places automatically add 15-20 percent tip to your bill so most servers/waitresses wont try for more.

    3- Extremely humid weather, this might be ok for some of us here but for a person who lives in New Mexico almost with 0% humidity this is a big big change.

    4- Costs: Comparing to Vegas IMO Miami was way more expensive, booze prices in clubs and eating especially.

    Now I am not sure how weather is out there for December or if it would be the best time to be there or not.

    Final verdict minus the beach I would take Vegas any day over Miami. Especially with all the dayclubs/parties in Vegas during the summer time and way more better options for nightlife.
