Tabu/Studio 54

Im staying at the MGM next weekend and have completely forgotten about Tabu and Studio 54. I remember Tabu being a great spot about 7-8 years ago and 54 maybe 8-10 years ago. I always like to hit the spots at my "home base" hotel, just for convenience, but was wondering if anyone still went to either place and what the crowd is like at each. I cant understand why MGM hasnt shut down 54 and retooled it, but Im sure there's a reason for that.

Any feedback on both places is greatly appreciated.

Both are terrible compared to your other options in Vegas, especially Studio 54. Tabu is more of a lounge than a club.

Well done Universal. Certainly answers my question about 54. Thats the kind of crowd I saw there a few years ago and stopped going. Was just wondering how it was recently.

What about Tabu though. Any better? I know its a lounge, but it was pretty damn cool back in the day. Just wondering.

Studio 54 is a $hithole. Was in there one drunken nite in June and it was a dreadful place - read my TR if you want my account!

As for Tabu I never went in though the queue did have some hotties in it most nights so it might have been a better option. It is more of a lounge though than a club.
