  • Bachelor Party 10+ guys....villa/suite suggestions?

    Hey guys,

Trying to plan a bachelor party for approximately 10 people, give or take a couple. It's a little early in the planning stage considering we're shooting for mid- to late-December. Any suggestions for hotels on the strip that could accommodate us? As I mentioned, the budget is pretty flexible. I've looked at the Wynn Salon Suites (1900 sq.ft./$850 per night), Aria Sky Suite (2000 sq.ft./$?), and Mirage 2bd. room Penthouse (1600 sq.ft./$?). Those all seem great, except the fact that they probably sleep only 6 and even that's pushing it. Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I say get one suite for the groom and a couple guys. And then much cheaper extra rooms as needed.

The biggest suite or villa you'll find will be a 3-bedroom, and the most beds it would POSSIBLY have is 5. You'd be lucky if they went 1 King in the Master, and then 2 Queens in the other two rooms.

You could get a 3-bedroom Lanai at the Mirage on the ground floor (this is Rusty Griswald's party suite in Vegas Vacation) for about $2,000/night.

You could get a 3-bedroom Skyloft at MGM Grand for $2,500/night.

Those two would be over the top and pretty ridiculous - they come with a butler and everything, and there'd be plenty of room for everyone.

      June 2-6, 2011 - Venetian Bella Suite
June 21-26, 2012 - Cosmopolitan Wraparound Terrace Suite

Another option is 2 sets of 2 connecting bella suites at Palazzo.

Depending on what deals are going on and whether it's the weekend or not you may able to get the 4 rooms for somewhere between 900-1100 a night total.

The 4 rooms will give you 8 queens and 4 sofa beds so each guy gets a bed.

You can obviously only do 3 rooms if you have 9 instead of 12 people.

The upside is the size, # of beds, and the price. The downside is that it's not as "baller" as something like the skylofts

if anyone in your group uses AMEX, you should consider booking through fine hotels and resorts. i booked a skyloft through them for my upcoming stay and you get a pretty good hookup. you get 10% off the nightly rate, an upgrade to the next level(either from one bedroom to 2, or 2 bedrooms to 3, depending on what you book) and a 4pm checkout. im staying in a 2 bedroom(hoping for the 3 bedroom upgrade) with 8 people. i'll let you know if it was enough room after this weekend

I'm staying at the Encore Salon Suites in Aug with 8 of us. They take a Salon suite and include an adjoining suite and then 2 rollaway beds- so you technically have 5 beds that sleeps 8 (although I knopw someone is passing out on the massage table and in the bathtub) . For two nights in Aug Friday night and Sat night- it was $377 a person including taxes and fees and they were nice enough to throw in the rollaway beds for free (normally 50 bucks a piece!!). Obv haven't gone yet but so far everything has gone smoothly.

DeformR: Thanks, definitely thinking about heading in that direction.

BrettStevens: Those sound amazing, but I'm not sure if every single one of the guys will be able to spend that money. Possible ideas though!

not a vet but no rookie: I think that's the way things will pan out. Spoke with a friend of mine who thinks in terms of logistics that it would be much easier getting on nice suite and then a bunch of smaller, connecting rooms.

r_miller21: I roll with Visa, so maybe a friend of mine wouldn't mind putting it on their card if they've got AMEX. Thanks!

buffaloparker: Let me know how it goes. I really want a room at the Encore or Wynn. Their suites look great too. I spoke with customer service at the Wynn and they said that idea would work as well (getting a nice loft/suite/penthouse and just getting a smaller adjacent room).

Big help. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Perhaps the groom + 1 or 2 friends can be in a nice, spacious suite, everyone else can share standard rooms and just all party/hang out at the suite.

Standard rooms at places like Aria starts around $129-$149 for weekdays and a little more on the weekends. Definitely the best way to go for your situation IMO.

The cheapest/nicest suites I think you'll find for 10 is at MGM Sig.

MGM Sig is going to be a bit more of a walk to the strip, but it's close to the monorail station. This is mainly the reason why it's cheaper. The suites have balconies and you can get one overlooking Wet Republic. You can get a 2bedroom suite (1450 sq ft, 2 1/2 bath) cheap, which is basically a 1bedroom suite connected to a JR Suite. In the 1bedroom suite you have a king bed and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room, then in the JR suite you have the same. So it sleeps 8, then 2 can get rollaway beds.

                  More pics here: http://www.signaturemgmgrand.com/suites/

I've seen the 2bedroom suite for $350/night average.

we're squeezing 12 in our aria 2-bedroom suite. 1 kind, 2 queens, 2 roll outs, L shaped couch. that'll sleep 10. 1 or 2 guys dont care bout sleepin on the floor as long as they got a pillow. $150 a person for 2 nights

I booked a week at the Jockey Club (haven't stayed yet - but fingers crossed it will be alright) because we needed some space.

It is a 2-bed 2-bath unit + kitchen + living room + walk in closet
3 queens beds in the two rooms + 1 twin rollaway bed (if needed) + 1 queen sofa sleeper ... we have the bellagio fountain view (thank god) and got the place $1170 including taxes/fees/security deposit/etc. We are for sure having 6 people go (maybe 8) and that works out to only $195 per person for 7 nights. Your 10 would only make it $117 per person (and thats based off a week)

Since we would be there for 7 nights we really wanted a kitchen and also wanted everyone to be together, so it was a perfect option.

Cons: No casino on site (but connected to the Cosmo - can't imagine its a shorter walk than any other place room-to-casino).

                        Might be worth a look

I did the same thing my 2nd trip to Vegas with 4 people back in 2003 or so.

My group complained about not having a casino right there (they were all gambling junkies) but the rooms were HUGE and the bathrooms were pretty nice etc.

We got a fountain view as well. Granted then, the Cosmo was not next door and dwarfing the place.

I think then I got the 2 bedroom 2 bath unit for around $200/night through some online deal I found. If I was staying for a while and drinking/gambling was not at the top of my list then Jockey club would be up there.

If you're on a budget, the Tropicana Penthouse suites are both nice and affordable and quite big.

However, if you can afford it, go for the PH Tower 2 Bedroom Suites.
