  • A nightclub/lounge where you don't have to pay for a seat?

Whats the best place nightclub/lounge that will have general seating for those who don't pay for bottle service? Basically where your cover charge actually gets you a seat. This would be for a weekday.

You're searching for the pink elephant. Clubs in Vegas just aren't setup this way and for good reason. Tables are their biggest money makers, so it's very difficult to find free seating.

depends on the day/time, who's going, and what kind of scene you like.

mix, rhumbar, gold, caramel, fontana(soon to close?), level 107, and many other spots offer a great time. peppermill's fireside lounge is still kinda a true old school vegas lounge, despite the tv monitors.

my girl and i have enjoyed the patio at lavo & voodoo, and have heard great things about the lounge at mandarin. casual party scenes can be found at diablos and margaritaville.

xs long ago ripped their free seating, and ghostbar's was taken off the patio last halloween, but that might have been in anticipation of a big night. vanity has a round sofa thing, but it's really just in the way.

seating is tough to find in a true club atmosphere, but you might be able to still get it early at mix/voodoo/ghostbar.

fwiw, this topic is by far the biggest void in vegas nightlife info online. the hosts have no vested interest in spreading the word, and the casinos would rather have you playing or paying for BS.

*love to hear from those on here if any of the bars at cosmo offer a great lounge atmosphere.

Sounds like you are looking for a hotel bar. There is a cool one at MGM, Centrafuse. The bar at the cosmo is pretty cool as well.

I agree. I'm much more of a lounge girl. I like to get drunk sitting down.

We're planning to make the full rounds of the Cosmo bars and lounges in two weeks. I'll give a report back.

New here, thought I'd jump in on this topic since I too was worried about seating. The thought of being in high heels all night with no place in sight to rest was daunting to say the least, and browsing these forums turned up the same answers about having to have a table, etc. but I must say, my experience (weekend of June 18th) was totally different!

Tao on Saturday night right as it opened, we were led directly up to the rooftop pool area, which had plenty of free cushioned seating, particularly around the bar. No seating on the lower level dance floor areas that I saw though.

XS on Sunday around midnight, again, plenty of free places to sit on the walls surrounding the various plants outside.

Hit Ghostbar after XS for the view, tons of free couches available on the terrace.

These boards had scared me into thinking there wouldn't be any place to sit, so I was pleasantly surprised at how readily available they were! Maybe I was just lucky but I would say going on weekdays you'd probably have an okay time finding places to sit too.

Cosmo's great for bar hopping if your not wanting to do a club every night. Check out Vesper bar, its just past the lobby. Plenty of seating in there and if you like cocktails you'll love that place! And of course the chandelier bar, a lot of the seating was reserved and the top floor was shut off when we went, but still managed to get a seat at the bar.

Haha I like break it down! No sitting for me, unless we do bs. Women, just do what all the other girls do... Walk barefoot after.

What self respecting chick would walk barefoot on the strip deliberately? I mean, you break a heel, yeah, but as a plan? no way.

The upside of every casino trying to get in on the act is that soon, BS will be available every 30 feet in any direction. At some point it's unsustainable. False demand can only be created for so long. Look at how many clubs have opened in hopes of attaining tier 1 and failed. Marquee might take business from Tao, and XS might be too big to fail, but what of Vanity, Gallery, and Chateau? If Bellagio sells bottles and creates a buzz at the old Fontana spot, what does that do to Bank?

A few short years ago the thought that the strip could have too much hotel space or too many condos was laughable. I'm guessing those who invested in Echelon, Fountainblue, or even City Center aren't laughing now.

It seems only Cosmo has it figured out: we want the world's hottest day/night club with BS, AND we want swank lounges and cool bars where we can catch our breath or rest our feet, without waiting or making a reservation for a table.

                  Please excuse my ranti-ness

I'd have to recommend ghost bar at the palms. Or the play boy club they both have free seating. At the ghost bar it's outside. At the playboy club it's all over. And you can cross over to the moon.
