  • What To Tip Pool Host?

We are looking at getting Comped for Wet Republic on a Sat. Just trying to figure out what a standard tip would be for the Host. I know for the club but this is not the same. No Cabana... Just entrance is all...

    Thanks!

When you say comped you mean not paying cover and skipping line, correct?
I think it's all about the day, place and gender involved but can be 20-100? Can someone verify?

If you're getting walked in and not paying cover, you should go at least $100 flat tip or if there's a handful of you, go with a minimum of $30/person.

What about if you've booked a cabana?

If you booked a cabana, you're probably spending somewhere between $1,000 and $3,000. I would say $150-$250 in that case. Cabanas are an easy sale, so it wouldn't work out to be the same as tipping on a table where you ordered 5 bottles.

I work in the industry and I usually collect $20 from each person in my party before the night or day gets going. If you dont do this, you'll find a lot of your "friends" disappear at the end of the day/night. Collect $20 from each person and give that to your host. You cant go wrong that way and your host will be happy

Getting walked in but if regular admission is like 40.00 and it is just 2 of us 100.00 flat seems pretty high of a number. I was thinking more like 40.00 total.

What if you're using the same host multiple times in a weekend? Does that influence how much you tip and when?

If you get to skip the line and don't have to pay any cover, I'd say you at least tip the host the amount you would have spent on cover. It is worth every penny to skip those damn lines!!!
