  • Alcohol prices in Vegas

Would you say it's a better idea to buy from a duty free before going to Vegas? Or is booze pretty cheap at places near the strip? Looking t just buy a few bottles.

    Thanks!

I think there a few places close to the strip where you could buy bottles at a fairly decent price. I'm sure others will chime in exactly where.

There's a liquor store at the North End in the complex right after Riviera that has decent prices

We always hit up Albertson's (a grocery store) which is a little ways off the strip, but the prices are better than they would be on the strip. It is a cab distance (there's one on Tropicana, West of the strip, and one on Flamingo, East of the strip).

I started this same thread before I went to Vegas, the walgreens at city center was about the same price for bottles as what I usually see here at liquor stores. Not really worth worrying about a price difference.

For some of us, alcohol has become a necessity. How much do you spend on beverages and where do you preferred to drink? Alcohol is something individuals have been indulging in for millennia, though, drinking too much is dangerous. Spending on alcohol in bars and restaurants has nothing to do with increased consumption, but rather with higher prices. Here is the link: Alcohol Spending.

I'll second the Albertsons at Flamingo and Parkway east of the Strip. Usually really competitive pricing for food and alcohol at a relatively convenient location. You can look at their weekly ad online for an idea of the prices. When you are out and about on the Strip and you aren't gambling for free drinks, I usually recommend Walgreens as the go to place for cheap single cans of beer or malt liquor based flavored drinks since the ABC stores and CVSs seem to be slightly more expensive on average.

I usually stay at Aria, Vdara or Cosmo. I always get my bottles at Walgreens nearby. Always a good idea to pre game before going anywhere.

Do cab drivers get perks for stopping at liquor stores on the way from LAS to the strip?

I tool a private car service one time and we stopped at a liquor store and the driver got a stamp on her punch card for bringing me. She told me for every 10 customers she brings they give her $20. Same for cabs?
