  • Tao Wristbands July 4th weekend

So I bought the wristbands a while back for $50 on vegas.com with a pickup date of July 1st and the name of the pass is "Male VIP All Access to TAO/LAVO/TAO Beach"

They started to sell out on vegas.com and other websites and I had been checking periodically because not all of my friends were able to get them

I go today on Vegas.com and see the passes are back up but are now $100 - "July 4th Weekend All Access Pass - Male (Includes: VIP Unlimited Access, VIP Admission to TAO (Fri.-Sat.), LAVO (Fri.-Sun.) and TAO Beach (Fri.-Sun.)"

The $50 ones I got probably won't work anymore right? They haven't contacted me about refunds or upgrades or anything. Should I go ahead and contact vegas.com and try to upgrade to the $100 pass? Or should I roll the dice and see what happens?

I don't even know if it's even worth it for $100. I don't remember GA prices being increased on previous July 4th weekends

Fuk dat, you shouldn't be penalized for buying early! I'm in the same boat...my vendor tried to say "the venue isn't open on Thursday"...now you know this ain't the case (Tao)...I say if you got your email confirmation, you're golden.

Its unreasonable to think if someone planned a trip months earlier, purchased the passes legally, that they'd be doublechecking the site to notice the raised prices...its also understandable that the prices would increase as the event grows near.

    I think its standard procedure.

    We should be good.

A similar thing happened with MDW - http://forums.jackcolton.com/showthr...?t=8029&page=3

I just don't want to call and have them say they can either refund it or charge me more.

There's no guarantee that we'll have the same luck that he did but it's probably better off that we call instead of getting screwed at the door

I just spoke with them and was told the passes are still valid. Looks like we may have just saved money by booking early.

Probably will call back a few days out just to double check but I think we're good

I hope that this is the case. My group got TAO/LAVO/TAO Beach wristbands for the July 4th weekend, starting on June 30. I hope that they are valid because we planned on going to TAO on Thursday night. I pray that everything is legit.

I can vouch that Chris does answer emails in a timely manner...he's done so for me already when I had similar questions since I also have the same wristbands for the same weekend.

Had no issues with the wristbands but they ended up being a small waste of money.

We went to Tao on Friday and waited in the same line as hotel guests and my boy who didn't have a band paid $20 for entry. Next day at Tao Beach he was able to get in free bc we were hotel guests and got there relatively early (they started charging guests later on apparently).

So we had the same exact experience but I just paid $30 more.

                    Just a heads up

My experience was completely different - it could've been that I picked mine up on Thursday and our pool plans were on different days than yours.

1 - I went to Tao on Thurs instead of Friday - stood in shorter line, the guys with the red bands (for girls) came up to us, saw our bands directed us directly to the front, paid nothing, girl checked our printout (itinerary), got like 2 stamps, no issues.

2- Went to Tao Beach on Fri instead of Saturday, got there too damn early, but once again, paid nothing, no line.

3 - And another unreported benefit, other promoters saw our bands on our wrists noted that we were rock star partiers and invited us to their events and gave us business cards etc...(worked out well for Marquee on Monday night - got on promoters guest list)

So I guess "your mileage may vary"...but for me it was the best $50 I spent in vegas....

BTW (vet - good lookin out on that Marquee info)

Definitely. I don't mean to discourage people from using them but just take into account how many venues you plan on hitting up and if you are a guest of Venetian/Palazzo.

We only hit up 2 of the venues and hit them up early because only 2 of us had bands. Definitely would have been a different experience if we all had bands.
