Things to do during day (not involving pool parties)

My bachelor party and I are arriving to Vegas very early on Friday. This gives of plenty of time before check in to explore Vegas. I am thinking this is a perfect time to check out the strip. I wanted ask you Vegas pros of any cool spots, bars, touristy or bachelor party things we can do that doesn't involve pool parties. The majority of the guys are more bar type and I would like to at least show them some bars before all the club hoppin begins.

Carnival Court right outside of Harrahs, really fun place during the day, they have live bands and flair bartenders. Fun, cheezy place to get drunk . Also Oshea's is a fun, college type place with cheap drinks, gambling, & beer pong.

usually they will let you leave your stuff at the hotel until its ready so we usually walk around the strip(if not too hot), check out carnival court, fat tuesday, fashion show mall and FREMONT downtown... You might even get to catch that massive water show at the Bellagio...

I'll second O'Sheas for divey college bar fun. Always a good time in that place.

One of my Vegas traditions is hitting up Margaritaville and getting a couple of their Perfect Margaritas, aka a $10 cup of tequila.. finish one there, take one to go and hit the strip!

Yeah, I always like to hit the strip so I try to save a day for no pool parties. You ALWAYS witness something new. I've been inside all the hotels I think at this point, but even just walking through some casinos is fun...try out some of their bars. This is why I used to always like MGM because there is so much right on their property.

1. Go to Fat Tuesday! I'm not sure where you'll be staying but there are three or four Fat Tuesdays scattered along the strip in MGM Grand, Planet Hollywood (Miracle Mile), and Caesar's Palace (Forum Shops). I think I'm missing one, but I can't remember where it is.
2. Go shoot guns at the gun store (http://thegunstorelasvegas.com/)
3. (not sure if this is really bachelor party-y but...) go to the Fontana Bar at Bellagio. You can get a seat on the patio in front of the fountains and enjoy an Oceans 11-esque moment with the best view of the Bellagio fountains you can get
4. If it's early enough (i.e. before 9pm ish) go to Voodoo Lounge at the Rio. Great view of the strip from the top.
5. Do some happy hour hopping. Places all along the strip have happy hours so you can see what different restaurants/restaurant bars look like. Check this site for some happy hour ideas: http://www.lvhhtime.com/

Blondies Sports Bar in Miracle Mile Shops has a afternoon Happy Hour for $20.

you can go to the stratosphere and check out the roller coaster they have or go bungee jumping, walking around the strip is always fun also u can go to the shark reef at mandalay bay

Riding the rollercoaster at NY NY or rides at the Strat would be cool. Maybe hit the pawn shop where they film Pawn Stars. Maybe rent some exotic sports cars (money permitting).

Go bar hopping with the guys at home. Its Vegas, all the women go to the pools. Seriously. Just watch, you'll see bikini after bikini walk by and they are not walking to o'sheas.

Leave your stuff at the bell desk and head to the pool. you can drink there............

Some girl told me her boyfriend waited 3 hours to get into that pawn shop. I asked her to bring him over so I could smack the shit out of him for wasting 4-5 hours in Vegas on that shit.

Haha, so I guess my advice is to stay away from that place.

+3, why walk the strip when it's 100 degrees?

The only thing I can endorse other than pool parties is gambling and you can gamble at places like EBC so it's a win win
