Visiting Vegas with a group of 8-10 in mid-July. We planned to go with the Palms wristbands on a Friday night. We figured access to 4 clubs/bars and a relatively inexpensive cost made those good options. But I have been told by 3 people that have used the wristbands they had to wait a long time at the door for each of the clubs (and those 3 people were not together, it was 3 separate groups on 3 separate weekends, none of which were holiday weekends). That would obviously be a deal killer for me. I don't mind a short wait but I do mind a long wait. My hope was to avoid the cost of a table reservation (because we will already be paying for two cabanas and two tables the rest of the weekend). Does anyone have similar (or different) experiences with the door wait they can share with me?

Was just there about 10 days ago - had bottle service, but they give you the same stamp/wristband as the all-access pass when you buy bottle service.
I was hopping around from club to club with absolutely now wait - it's an entirely separate line and they let your right in. The only delay you would experience would be a result of the elevators used to get up to Ghostbar, Moon, or Playboy Club. They can only fit 10-12 people at a time, so sometimes there's a backlog from that - but you won't be waiting in an actual line to get into the club.Vegas Trips to-date:
November 12-13, 2008 - Palms Standard
March 18-22, 2009 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
April 22-26, 2010 - MGM Grand Bungalow Suite
June 2-6, 2011 - Venetian Bella Suite
June 21-26, 2012 - Cosmopolitan Wraparound Terrace Suite

The Palms have a wristband that doesn't allow for line skipping... Everytime I've used (6 times) "the bands" its been smooth line skipping fun... Just walk up to the front... flash the band... your in in seconds... my worst attempt at club entry was a "give me a few seconds sir" ...Wolfpack is ready 7/21-7/25

I was told by one of the hosts on here if you're going to be there on edc weekend its going to be very busy and there may possibly be a wait? I'm wondering if I should do the open bar or not at rain that night risking that it might not be worth it. The wait, as someone said earlier, may be caused by the elevator wait/id checking? Wonder if anyone could verify?

There shouldn't be a reason to wait on most occasions if you use a host or get on their guestlist. You can always tip to not wait as well.
