A great night without a nightclub ?

Hi all

Going to Vegas soon and will be there on a Saturday night. I've been to most of the clubs before, had an ok time but prefer the opportunity to chat and flirt in places where its a bit more sociable.

So, I need your thoughts. If you had to have a great Saturday night WITHOUT going to a Club, what would you do ?

E.G. Which bars and ultra-lounges would you go to ?

(we want fairly classy places, I went to Carnaval Court last year and wasn't impressed)

pregame in your room, bring a bunch of booze with you, roam around the strip and hop from casino bar to casino bar

I'd do dinner at N9NE, go about half hour before my reservation and have a drink at the main bar at the restaurant, there are a lot of people in that area, makes for good conversation. AFter dinner, hit up EyeCandy at Mandalay, Caramel at Bellagio, or Heart Bar in Planet Hollywood. I don't do the club scene too much and we always have a great time in these lounges. Ditto on V-Bar in Venetion as well. Then if I'm feelin real good from the liquor, I'd hit up Carnival Court just for the drunk, cheezy fun of it then take the fun back to the hot tub at my hotel (which is open 24 hrs) and chill.

For me, clubs are about 1/4 to 1/3 of what I like to do in Vegas for nightlife. Now pool parties or a good pool like the HRH pool is 100% of what I like to do for daylife. I love Vegas partly for its randomness. I have had a great time for 5-6 hours at places like eye candy or simply at the bar at Bill's or Oshea's, I love to low roll gamble downtown (or Oshea's), some time at the center bar at HRH, and some shaddy dive places, like the Double Down or Downtown Pub. Mix it up a bit and the crazy random shit that has happened to me with this formula has been great.

As for classy, that is what the club night and nice dinners are for, the rest of my trip is usually slightly shaddy in terms of the places I frequent.
