Wednesday Night - Surrender (5/5)

What a better place to kick off my Jack Colton's MayOD invasion trip then at Surrender. Arriving in town early, and finding a mid week club to party at can be tricky. Surrender is known for their industry Wednesdays, so it was definitely worth a visit. Staying at the Encore definitely made this place more enticing then ever being that it was an elevator ride away.

I shot a text over to Bryce Giorgio that I am in town and wanted to stop by, and he said no probs. So I took the elevator down with 2/3s of Team Encore girls and we went straight the rope. I saw my favorite Surrender doorman Mikey Tantalo and I hollar'd at him. Mikey came up and gave me a fist bump, and he was admiring the AOD dog tag I had on me. Without any hesitation the ropes were lifted and we were on our way in skipping the line wrapped around the slot machines. I managed to catch Bryce on the way in and shake his hand as well. He gave me a little surprise, which was an industry wristband for open bar. Open bar for the boys is pretty much unheard of, so I was very appreciative.

We got into the main entrance where the bar was, maybe walked like 5-10 feet and decided to just chillax in the area. Throughout the night they dropped some consistently good EDM beats which was awesome to get my dance on to. We were all having a blast. It was funny we never left that area to scope out the entire place other then the occasional visit to the restroom. Surrender is such a huge club, but people tend to draw to crowds since thats usually where the party is at. If I m ever in town on a Wednesday again, and I want a chillax night with some good beats, Surrender will be my first choice.

Shout outs to Bryce Giorgio (VIP Services Manager) for making this night possible. I would definitely hit him up for some excellent deals on cabanas/ tables at Surrender.

Thursday Day - TAO Beach (5/5)

Oh Tao Beach! Your cabanas and drinks put me under every time! For the second consecutive year we started our MayOD invasion opening party at Tao Beach, and yet again between the open bar, cabana service, just randoms handing me drinks did me under. From what I recalled after I woke up 3am the following morning, and it was a great time.

It was a nice and quiet Thursday, and JC members were abundant here. It almost seemed like they reserved this place just for JC today. I walked in and spoke to Chris Traer, senior host at Tao Beach and without having to introduce myself, he already knew me and had my daybed ready. I was amazed by the treatment I was getting on this trip. He even gave me an option of where to have my daybed, which was incredible. Of course I got it right next to the AOD cabanas. We want to be next to the party.

Tao Beach isn't a type of a place where you make it THE pool party usually. On a Thursday you try to ease yourself, but sometimes the drinks still kick your ass. If you are an electronic music fan, I would highly recommend coming here for Beatport Sundays all through summer. They only got the best talent spinning here, and the place is usually packed all the way.

I had a good time at TB as always. Never made it out that night thanks to everyone's hospitality on making me take shots, get into chugging contests and just plain getting stupid like the set of LMFAO's shots video. Apparently one of the promoter girls gave me some sexy rainbow lip tatooed on my chest too. I can go on and on how people take care of you. Come here for a Vegas pool party bonding experience unlike other.

Shout out: Chris Traer for all your reservations needs. Very prompt in following up, and I was in touch with him via email the whole time and it almost seemed like he was there in person. Thank you!

I've been reading all of the MayAOD TRs and regretting not being able to make it down. No surprise that a good time was had by all but it's good to hear that the "master planner" of many Semi-AOD events through out the year was rewarded for his efforts!

Friday Pool - Liquid (4/5)

So it was the Friday morning of the AOD Invasion, and I was faced with the decision of either relaxing at the luxurious Encore adult pool or party my ass off at Liquid. Memories of girls getting carted off in wheelchairs still reminded me that it takes a bit of endurance and party swagger to get through a day at this place. I checked with Team Encore, and they wanted to.. PARTAI. So I had no option but to tough it out.

I texted Hali that we are coming down and she said no probs. We walked through the corridors of Aria and through the hotel pool and found ourselves at this massive line that ran around the concrete wall. The last time I came here on a Thursday there was actually no line, so my first thought is that 2011 Liquid is more popping then ever. Boy was I ever right!

I got up to the front and waved Hali down. She quickly had security put aside the ropes. She asked me how many and also how does the daybed next to the DJ booth sound? We all thought that was a great location. Also our JC member/Mood director of Liquid Pearce Cleaveland will be working there the whole day to cater to all our partying needs.

We got in and got settled, and our daybed had a great view of all the mayhem that was going on in the pool. Without having a chance to even put my sunscreen on, Pearce came by with a round of shots for our entire group. Some of the girls couldn't finish the shot so I had to handle it for them.

I got a chance to roam around and hang out with the AOD members, and everyone was having a good time. Pearce kept giving shoutouts to the AOD crew at the pool and random strangers saw my AOD dogtag and would come up to me and ask what it stood for. "Bro is this YOUR party?" "Yes this is our party, and we are taking over."

I don't think I ever got a chance to make it to my daybed without stumbling around this place. Pearce stopped me to do a shot (could've been 5 shots, it was a solid pour from a bottle). All in all it was a great day. If we needed an umbrella at our daybed, Pearce made it happen. If we needed more alcohol Pearce made it happen. If we needed someone to get already clinically insane people to get more crazy, Pearce made it happen by giving shoutouts over the mic to all the AOD members.

I knew it was 5pm when I saw members passed out at random places and getting escorted out. People were dancing then falling over chairs and I had to pick them up. I started drinking water so I can save myself and not be a causality in the evening. The party doesn't stop at the pool for an AOD member, but I can't say Liquid didn't do a number on me.

Fri Night/Sunday Night - XS Nightclub (5/5)

Can you believe I hit up XS twice on one trip? Yes it was that good I just had to come back for more. With their switch to an all house music resident DJ line up, its got me shuffling and getting drunk like no other place. Staying at the Encore also made this a very easy option. Kind of like your local bar to go say hi to your bros that are already there chilling. Well maybe not if you have to wait in line.

XS Part #1- Friday night was the JC dress like a pimp night. So I put on the suit with my slim fit pink shirt and pocket square to come meet and greet the other pimps. Friday night definitely makes for one hot spot. The entire dancefloor area gets crowded in a hurry from 11-3AM. So if you want to roam around and socialize, your best bet is the outer courtyard.

The AOD daybed was located outside at the courtyard. I had a few drinks with Team Encore, snapped a couple of pics and I was on my way to get crunk in the suit. My highlight of this night was watching Gubuju get on top of the daybed and start shuffling. Then he even gave our bachelorette a lap dance. Nicely played!

XS Part #2 - Sunday night after our top 40, booooring hip hop rotation at the Bank. Not to hate on anyone, but I just love that EDM and house music. So I had to bust out the celly and hit up Ryan Perrings (Official JC host of XS). Ryan said he was not working that night, but Kelly Yeager was. So I grabbed a couple in my crew and took the next cab down to the Encore. Got up to line and holla'd at Kelly. He was behind the podium, but a doorman went over and talked to him, I saw him nod and the ropes were up and we were in.

I got in and found the AOD table to be on the inside this time. Gave fist bumps to long time JC members Dnix, Nassau, then met up with RickyReckon and Sweat_Shop to tear up the dance floor. At one point I was actually ready to fall asleep, but once I walked into XS I heard the house music vibrating through my spin, I knew it was business time.

I went back to the AOD table and they even had glow wrist bracelets for us to shuffle to. I slapped that puppy on and put my blazer down to get cracking. Got my dance on with a couple of birthday girls on the left wing of the dance floor. I was paying attention to my footwork more, then I looked up and realized how she looked and I had to kindly excuse myself. "Yes I will be back, hang tight!" Boom, I tap Ricky/Sweat_Shop on the shoulders and we made our move to the right wing of the dance floor.

At the right wing of the dance floor I met up with this smoking brunette that kind of looked like Lela star. She was a pimp. She grabbed some random guy's hat, put it on and was breaking it down. I was breaking it down right next to her. Then all of a sudden a dude comes up. "Hey you mind taking a picture with my wife? I gotta admit, you two look way better together then I do with her..." I m thinking.. "wtf.. Swingers?"

So the talent was hit or miss on a Sunday, but this was just the first stop of our adventure that night. Drais review to come.

Sat Night Marquee Nightclub (KASKADE!!) - 5/5

Marquee! After all the promotions, ads and EDM big names coming through this place, my chance to visit has finally come during the AOD Invasion. LAX was on the schedule, and I base my clubbing decisions on the type of music played, Marquee was my best option on a Saturday. Oh, and a kind of famous DJ by the name of Kaskade was here as well.

I take the cab down here and meet up with 2/3s of Team Encore at the Chandelier Bar. I already see a line forming downstairs. Since its my first time here, I wander over and turns out they were just lining up to get to the escalator which takes you up to the actual entrance of the club. Once I get up there, I see the REAL entrance this time I texted Derrick Runtas who guided me through the maze of 6-8 lines. I saw Justen Crews, a long time JC host and he was able to get me through rope #1. There still 3-4 more ropes to go. For some reason I got distracted and was put in a line where people were lining up to pay cover. Things didn't look right, so I texted Derrick right away and he got me in the right line and the master rope was lifted finally.

Here comes the exciting part. After you took an escalator to get up here, then you get to take an elevator that takes you to one of the top floors of Cosmo. In the elevator there is a bouncer that greets you and the music is already bumping whatever the club is playing at that moment. Once the door opens I walked into the place and it felt like a catacomb full of tunnels and mazes. Honestly I did not even get a chance to explore this whole place because it got crowded fast in a hurry. There were literally 1000's of people outside trying to get in.

Someone in team Encore had to go use the restroom and I had to go get a drink. This was the last I saw of my team. As I was roaming around through the club I saw Gubuju, and he flashes me his bank roll. Literally like 5K in cash in a money clip. "Whats this for boss?" "Collections on the grand cabana, swing by and chill with us.." "OK". You don't have to ask me twice since this is my first time visiting Marquee, doing it VIP was the right way to do it. So after 10 minutes of dodging a concert sized dance floor crowd, we finally got up to the elevated area and the cabana.

In there I saw my girl Just_Cole, SexxiNikki. The bros Rescuediver, RickyReckon, Tao, Sweat_Shop and many others I was too drunk to remember. I gave em all fist bumps and decided it was an opportune time to do an AOD chant. Following the chant I had to chance to take some pics with the Magnums and Patron bottles with the sexy JC ladies. I also had a few minutes to look out the back window of the grand cabana, and it was an awesome view of the strip.

As the night went on, the alcohol started to kick in and the music switched gear into harder hitting house music. I thought this was a good time to start shuffling. I got Ricky and SweatShop into it. The only down side if any is that the outer courtyard area of the cabana includes a walkway, so you constantly have to dodge waitresses, bussers, bottle whores and just randoms walking through. As we were shuffling these two girls come up to me and tell me my moves are bad ass. "So I want to dance for you!" "Sure, lets go grab a seat at the cabana.."

So I take the girl back to the cabana much to the dismay of Gubuju and JustCole. I had her friend talk to Gubuju so he was a little happier after that. Cole yells out "FOUR!" .. "what... whore?" Turns out she was pointing out the rating of the girl I m with. haha I had no ideas, I was crunk. The girl started to give me a lap dance. I m not sure if she was wearing any under garments because I was getting wet spots over my jeans. She was a little too drunk to stand up straight and at this point fortunately Gubuju already called the bouncers on them to escort them out. I was being a gent and I got them to the door of the club. For some reason she expected me to go back to the hotel with her? "Umm Kaskade is playing, hello. "

I head back to the cabana and had the best time ever shuffling with the boys. Kaskade just makes you feel the music. Marquee brings out the music like no other. If you dig EDM, mega clubs with a touch class. Marquee delivers like no other of our life time. Best in the world hands down.
