No, XS still plays a good mix when it's a regular DJ. But they've booked more and more house DJs to come in

There is a reason why I'm hitting up Tao (OPM room) and Marquee (boom box room) and skipping XS.

It's good. Much better than the crowd was at Opium/Poetry.

Yep, XS changed their setup so they have a "DJ Stage" just like Marquee with screen and light shows and everything.

They felt the impact of Marquee opening for sure.

Not exactly, because everyone does the same drunk Zombie dance in Vegas anyways. Now they're on beat. Besides, not to many chicks really know how to get it in to Travis Porter anyways.

They definitely did. I mean Marquee tried to take what XS has (huge club, outside and inside, gambling) and improve on it - the stage and the separate rooms with different music.

I still like XS's decor better but Marquee's boom box room seals the deal for me.

We saw Steve Wynn outside of XS and he didn't seem too pleased about the length of the line

Meh, I've seen current DJ mag's 9 out of top 10 DJs perform in LA (no Aarmin yet) and many other below top 10 DJs..and I love EDM.

BUT, I have not dealt with the EDM crowds/clubs in Vegas yet so I don't know what to expect. But at least in LA, hiphop/top40 crew are way more fun to party with than EDM. But it is Vegas so..we'll see this weekend

But, what I really missed was the reggae mixes. I don't mind what they play as long as they throw in the reggae mix when the floor is @ its best. Fi a hot gal wine pon me

Go to Marquee and you can do what you do. The times I've been the DJ mixed reggae and dancehall with hip hop. Granted it was more mainstream stuff but he did play some classics

yes, i love me some top40. I consider house music more like "rave" music, like get all crazy lol. funny thing is not many people know how to dance in vegas. its funny how to see different cultures(dont know how else to explain it), back home here and then go to vegas. most of the people just find someone to grind and sway back and forth.

ive found lax, rehab, the bank, to play alot of top40.

                        I am. I don't like house music.

If I'm blacked out it doesn't matter, so I guess it doesn't usually matter.
