Another dress code question thread~

I'm going to Vegas this weekend..

I've been there plenty times before on non-holidays. During those times, so far I had no problem whatsoever wearing all-black vans to XS, Tao, Pure, Tryst, etc. (Marquee wasn't open yet) (I keep it SUPER clean and nice to make sure it looks new at all times).

Anyway, since this is my first time going to Vegas on a major holiday (where bouncers have even more power to not let guys in), I'm a bit worried about my shoes. I do have an old sketchers dress shoes that I can use as a backup but they are old and uglyyy.

My party will most likely be around 4-5 guys and 3-4 girls. The actual group is about 20 deep but I doubt we will all go to the same spot.

This is what I plan to wear. I'm worried about the white part around the bottom of the shoes and the pants not being "dark" color. What do you guys think? Kind of risky? If anything I can wear a black jeans but I would really love to wear those shoes.

i'd say why take the chance? its going to suck to have to walk back to you room and change after waiting in line if they don't let your in.. might as well play it safe the first time. if your going to be dropping some $$ on cover and drinks or bottles, you might as well spend a couple hundo and buy yourself a decent pair of shoes.

don't risk it man. just go to macy's and get some dress shoes. i know you're planning your outfit with those shoes but it'll cost you more if you get blocked. you're going to have to grease or even worse.... settle for a lounge! the clubs in vegas are too good to miss out on.

very true..

some things that are making me lean towards a dress shoes
- black vans I've wore 232408729034 times in vegas clubs..is ALL black and this one is not
- MDW with bouncers even more on their powertrip

but damn..I just hate the way dress shoes look with jeans lol

also..those grey-ish levi's I linked is a definite no-go huh?

Im not a "sneakers" in the club kind of guy...... at a "bar" Im ok with it. Even some clubs that arent a "big deal". But this is Vegas. At worst, get some "casual" type shoes. But I say dress shoes 9 out of 10 times. Dont be the guy who gets turned away in your group.

I'm the same way & don't like to wear traditional dress shoes especially after partying all night. I was looking at some black leather shoes that didn't look too much like sneakers.

^ those look all fine BUT here is the thing.

I've rocked my all-black vans multiple times to XS/Tao/Tryst.

But, the one I want to rock this weekend and the ones you posted above have white bottom. That is the thing I'm worried about.
