Upgrades at the Wynn

Currently booked for a room with 2 double beds. If I look to upgrade, do I have to give up the 2 beds for a bigger room with only a king bed?

well, if you have a base room you can upgrade to a "panoramic" room with 2 beds.. but this isn't really a different room, just a higher floor. after panoramic rooms you move to the tower suite section. here the "tower room" is still the same as the base room (mildly upgraded funishings) but you get all the other tower suite benefits (private entrance, private pool, etc...) then you have the executive suite which still isn't really a "suite" as it's just one room, just a little larger. these are all 1 bed.. from executive suite you have the parlor suites. these are real suites, 1.5 bathrooms, etc... all 1 bed... from there you go to salon suites. i think these are a pretty big upgrade, they have 2 couches in the middle, a section type couch around a dining table, big bar, massage room, 1.5 bath.. once again these are all 1 bed.. form there you get into the fairways but i haven't stayed there yet.

Actually, a salon suite has 2 full bedrooms and baths, in addition to massage room. Upgraded to two last year and each had a different configuration. One had a large dining table (perfect if you're hosting a meal or fantasy football draft) and the other a more typical double sofa, coffee table layout.

salon suite is NOT 2 bedroom. it is 1 bed 1.5 bath. you can get a connecting tower room to make it 2 bedroom. I've stayed in salon's many times... you are correct that some have the big dining table and most don't.. they also used to come in 3 color schemes, but i believe after the renovation they are all the same color now.

On second thought, you're probably right. I might have gotten the 2BDR mixed up with a Wynn Villa. Last time I had a Salon Suite, a buddy of mine had slept over, but now that I remember, he passed out on the floor instead of a 2nd bedroom. He didn't even make it to the couch :P

honestly they will prob. upgrade you from a regular room to a panoramic without the tip/bribe if you ask nicely.. i wouldn't tip too huge to try to get to the tower suites. i highly doubt you will get upgraded past the tower room and you can prob. just buy up to that room for less than $100 if it's a slow time that your there.
