Sorry if the question has been asked before but if a few guys are eating at Tao restaurant at around 9pm, could we get a walk-in to the TAO nightclub? Would we ask our waiter and tip him "good" for this or should we ask the manager? This will likely be a Thursday night if that makes a difference.

    Any advice appreciated!

No special tip is required. Just ask your waiter/waitress and he/she will take care of it.

Is this the same at other venues/restaurants (e.g. if we're heading to SW Steakehouse at the Wynn on a Sat night is that going to help us get in to XS, Tryst or Surrender)?

We ate at SW earlier this month and they didn't offer, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

We also went to see Le Reve at the Wynn, and they gave us a VIP card for priority reservations and free admission to Tryst and Blush good for the day of the show.

Thanks for the info. What's the best way of doing this - just asking your waiter as you're settling up?

            What was SW like btw?

Yeah, that, or ask the maître d at SW.

We enjoyed ourselves there. It's a pretty laid back vibe compared to places like STK or N9NE, but the outdoor light show is different from anything else I've ever seen. Try to get a table outside if you can. Personally, I don't think the food is worth what we paid, but that's pretty much the story of Vegas.

Thanks again - I'll give it a go and report back on whether it works out.

I think other places may be able to get you one of those free/reduced passes what not (I got it when I ate at one of the light group restaurants and asked about going to Jet that night), but not sure if anywhere gets you a full on stamp like Tao/Lavo does.
