Well... Lady by day party animal by night!

Any hints on good spas/hair dressers? Or any ones to stay away from? Assume it would be more expensive on the strip..?
Anyone know if places do shilac nails?

Foot wear for pool parties.. I checked out some photos but they are usually from the waist up. So is it thongs or heels?

And the big one... SHOPPING!!!
Where is good? I've heard there are a couple of factory outlets. How much should the taxi fair be? How long does it take to get there? Opening times?

i stepped into the fashion mall the last time. Its a HUGE mall. The mall carries most of the retails that you see in your local mall.

taxi cabs.. i find usually come out to about 15-20 bucks if you are moving around the stirp. Get your friends on board and split the cabs... makes it waaaaaay cheaper.

There are two outlets, one is south of the strip and one is north of the strip. The one that is north is a little bit farther, but much better in my opinion.

As far as other shopping- town square is close to the strip and offers a variety of standard mall shopping in an outdoor setting. Good food and a movie theatre as well.

Fashion show mall is right on the strip across from Wynn and is your standard indoor mall with some nicer shops. And most casinos have a row of designer shops, Crystals at City Center being the newest and most impressive.

Once you leave the strip there's a nail salon in virtually every other strip mall (thousands).

As far as off strip spas go I like both M and Redrock, though the distance may be too far to justify to price difference between them and on strip.

Wedges are a good shoe choice. Not as uncomfortable as a heel but still gives yyour outfit a sexy yet casual feel for the day. I always feel awkward in those gladiator looking flats and while flip flops can be comfy I think they are a little to casual for my tastes. I like the height heels and wedges give.

I been to both a few times, and honestly, they're not THAT heavily discounted. slight? sure. heavy? definiltey not. its off strip so even though your on the north end, youre gonna need to drive or take a taxi. and i agree, the north outlet has much better shops and theyre all closer together so its easier to walk it

Favorite Salon:

Everything on the strip is expensive. If you can get off the strip that would be ideal.

The outlet malls suck balls. Don’t go there.

Gym:
All the nice hotels on the strip have a good gym but I also like the Las Vegas Athletic Club chain. There will be a drop in fee at your hotel and LVAC.

Ive been to the MGM gym a few times. Its pretty good, never seems to be real busy when I go (late morning?), and there's also free bottled water, fruit, towels, and some other snacks if you want after. Its right by the pool. Its not very big considering MGM's size, but it did the job for me.
Im pretty sure its free with your room, at least it was with mine.

Though I cant really help you with the other questions, I have heard good things about the Mandalay Bay spa.

Thanks for all your answers! Coming from Australia the shopping is SOOOO much cheaper. My friends have brought an empty suitcase which is filled by the time they leave. I get faint thinking about it! Lol!
