Preakness in Vegas

Has anyone ever been to any if the major horse racing events in Vegas (outside of the Derby which I am sure has a big draw)? I am going this weekend for a birthday party, but I am excited to be there for the Preakness!

I am curious if it is very busy or if just seems to be a typical Saturday crowd. Also, if anyone has any recommendations as to where to bet? I was planning to head to Caesar's as they have a very nice sportsbook, but have never bet on races there.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I was there a couple of years ago during the Belmont. It was jammed in the MGM sportsbook, but I liked the excitement in the crowd, and we all placed bets to join along in the fun. I recall there being a heavy favourite, and we just bet the field, and it came through. None of us were horse racing fans, but being part of the fun was cool. Definetly much busier than your average Saturday crowd. (unless the Lakers are playing in the playoffs)

I like Ceasars sportsbook, and I cant imagine them not having Preakness on the screens, and bets being available. Should be fine.
