I remember they were checking lip balms and they were checking it HARD. When I noticed that, I was thinking "This ain't no f*cking rave, WTF is this?". But, they could basically just say, it's for our safety and if we don't wish to abide by the rules, we could just not enter...blah blah blah...

From reading Yelp reviews, it looks like this has been the norm for quite sometime. It seems like adult pools have been under more scrutiny since the highly-publicized incident (coke/meth/prostitution) at Rio's Sapphire that led to its closure a couple years ago, and MGM is smart to manage their risk on a venue that is absolutely printing money.

Other than it slowing the line down, I guess I'm OK with this. WR can get wild enough without having to worry about coked up meatheads and SoCal princesses or kids puking in the pool after taking bad E they bought on the strip.

They have notices in many of the bathrooms at clubs and day parties. I've yet to see people getting caught.
