  • Table Proposal to my group... whatcha think?

Well I was looking at the benefit of getting a table (VIP) at XS for our first night in and here is what it boils down to... 2 bottles 1100 after tax and waitress tip. So that puts us as $367.00 per couple.

$367.00 VIP Table With 2 bottles (per couple) includes:
his ($30) and hers ($20) entry fee
12 drinks (if bought at the bar $20.00 each with tip = $240.00)
We don't wait in a line that can be up to an hour plus long, we have a place to "hang", and we don't have to wait at the bar for a drink (which can take a while)
So basically we are splitting 1 bottle between three people. Pretty sure that will get each of us quite ripe. If we would be spending 240 per couple on drinks and 50 on cover anyway that's 290. That is without a table! For only $77.00 more we can get a VIP Table!

    downside:
elbow room, our own space, a place to sit, and that feeling of yep... we're awesome.

When I looked it up drinks were $16-$19 each on average. Believe me that's not the high end drinks. They do have one for $10,000.00!!! No Bullshit! Look it up. If you want to get the "most out of your Money" and have a blast I think a table is definitely the way to go.

    Well? Whatcha think?

You hit the nail on the head. It's hard to try to explain to people that, though it sounds expensive, getting bottle service is almost always the way to go if you can swing it.

People seem to think that you're paying for the alcohol- as you laid out, this is not the case. Bottles, real estate, mixers, service, line pass, status: it's allllll included. And once you factor out the cost of simply paying cover and getting drinks, it works out to be not much more usually.

Side note: From a real estate perspective, the tables in a lot of clubs are worth my than my friends' homes.

I thought this breakdown might also help others pitching it to their group. It is geared toward couples but, divide by 2 and you have a singles breakdown as well. Good Luck!

Bottle service and a table is almost always worth it. Sounds like you've got it all sorted out. Have fun!
