vegas bottles are 1 liter, you may have bought bottles in Baltimore that are 750ml.

True...I guess I never payed attention to the size in Vegas because every time I was in on one I was already well on my way to happy town. Even better deal then!

I am pretty frugal, and don't get to Vegas all that often, so was trying to figure out a way to check out the clubs, not just for chicks, but the whole ambiance. For instance, I believe TAO has the women in tubs. I would love to see that type of ambiance, but do not want to spend a ton of cash to do it.. I am heading down there Sat-Wed, do you think there are any of these cool clubs (TAO) that I could go to early, and check out without paying a ton? I do not mind spending money, but dont want to spend it if the place does not meet what I would like to see.. Thanks again!

Bottle service is good for the following people:

1) large groups of guys (who don't want to wait in line)
2) large groups (there to celebrate)
3) those who want to stay at the club for a majority of the night (have room to sit)
4) people who drink heavily
5) guys who want to attract girls
6) people who are just loaded and have plenty to spend

and a combination of all these things.

Simple calculations:
BS: For every 3 guys, you get 1 bottle. Bottle + Tax + Tip is running you $600 (200 per person). You don't wait in a line that can be up to an hour plus long, you have a place to "hang", you can offer girls drinks, and you don't have to wait at the bar for a drink (which can take a while).

No BS: Line can be over an hour at tier 1 clubs. Average guy gets 7 drinks at the bar @ $15/drink? That's already $105 + another 15 in tips to the bartender. Plus, waiting for the bartender to get to you, takes a while.

If you're just going to "see what the clubs about" and move to the next club, BS is not worth it. But you may be waiting in line for a while.

You tip the host for: 1) holding your table reservation (and not get bumped for future reservations) 2) getting a better table location 3) getting you in the door 4) sitting hot girls next to your table 5) comp'ing you things like water + red bull 6) refers you to other hosts at other clubs for good deals/tables.

But dont fall for hype. you dont need bottle service to get in. You might need it if you show up late during a event or hoilday weekend. normal nights just show up 10ish and you will get in in no time. even labor day weekend the night we didnt get bottle service because everyone split up me and my friend went to tryst at 12 and we got in. we had to wait a good hour though.

My last trip we didnt get bottle service at all because it was just two of us. Only had to wait 3 out of 6 nights.

Living it up once in a while might not be your thing. Nothing like getting a table with 6 guys and a few bottles, not knowing if anyone is still alive after 3am then making it back to your rooms and hearing all the stories at breakfast. Not the same as fighting the crowd to get another round every 30mins.

There are definitely ways to get in without bottle service.

Go early, wait in shorter lines (9 PM maybe), although doors may not open til 10-11
Get wristbands for Palms and wristbands for Tao that bypass lines.
Get dinner at Tao before the club and get stamped for club entry.
Build a relationship with hosts/doormen who will help get you in faster (with tips of course)
Greasing random doormen.
Or go very late when lines get shorter again (think 2 am+)

I assmue by your original post & this post above that you may be there solo. Just a guess as you are talking about what YOU want to see. Bottle service alone obviously wouldnt be the way to go nor would it be cheap. If you have a few people involved, the cost isnt thousands of dollars (for you alone) and you can experiance the perks of it. I would say you will have no problem getting in most anywhere with a little wait.
