  • Planet Hollywood or Treasure Island

Planning my August trip and wanted to try something different this time out. I usually stay at MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay but thought I'd give the center of the strip a shot. Trying to decide between Planet Hollywood or Treasure Island, both have great offers going on & are priced about the same. Treasure Island is throwing a couple show tics & Planet Hollowood is throwing in a free bottle of booze for each night I stay. Appreciate any info you can toss my way.

id normally say go with TI but under the "throw ins" id go with PH. both have good crowds, I know that TIs pool is pretty good with a nice little pool bar, they have social, mist and some other good places to eat PH not sure about pool scene, they have KOI which is a good spot for sushi but the bottles seal the deal imo!!! especially if it is at prive!! unless of course the show is more important to ya!

The bottles are the room! Or else that would be an awesome deal!!!

I could care less about the show tics, chances are, I won't use them anyway. The comped bottles are for drinking in the hotel room only, still much more inviting.

yeah the al al al alcohol is def more tempting but that sucks that you have to drink it in the room....I would ask them to throw in a hooker to!!

My vote is in for TI, I'd prefer to be on that end of the strip, and it would be pretty convenient to be across from a mall and Carnival Court.

i had both as my top picks and i will be staying at the TI starting... tomorrow. i think they were both close in price, but TI was a bit cheaper. they remodeled recently so the rooms are nice, the pool isn't super awesome but it looked like it beat PH's. they are both good locations, depending where you want to go.

If your looking to stay in the center of the strip then PH is a better bet. Thats right in the center. TI is more on the north end. Not like extreme north like the Stratosphere, but its up across from the Wynn (which i consider the north end of the strip). Since they just redid TI its nice. Ive known some people who have stayed there and they like it, but PH is supposed to be nice as well. Ive been there and i have eaten in KOI which NYC mentioned which is a great restaurant. If you dont care about the show tickets i would go with PH hands down.

What are you doing that their throwing you a free bottle every day?

PH has a deal going right now where you get a free 750ml bottle per night that you stay there. It's like Jack, Skyy, etc

It's right on their website. Pretty sick for pre-drinking.

Planet Hollywood seemed to really have a great crowd, so I can recommend that wholeheartedly.

Appreciate all the input, after kicking it around, I'm gonna pass on the free bottles & give Treasure Island a shot. The pool area looks much nicer and I like the fact that the Wynn & Encore are close by.

I'd go with PH. The location is awesome. I've stayed their twice, before they completely did the renovations, but was very happy with even their standard rooms. The bathroom is HUGE. They are having some killer promos right now, there's the drinks on us, but then I think there are a couple that even add some stuff ON TOP of that. Oh, and I also did the $20 tip at check in last time and got upgraded to a great view and a nicer room.

TI is a better location. You're so close to Caesars, Mirage, Wynn, Venetien, Palazzo and Fashion Show.. Thats pretty much where all the action is at..
