Venetian or Mandalay Bay in July

Taking my girl mid July. Not sure which is the better experience. MB seems far off and would spend a lot of time traveling. Although my friends have said the MB pool is better.

Venetian for Tao Beach and Location? or MB for Pool and price?

Also are there a lot of kids running around at either Pool?

What you save on the room by staying at Mandalay, ur gonna spend most of cabbing it back and forth to the strip. There are always a ton of kids at Mandalay Bay and especially in the summertime when they are out of school. I'd go with Venetian hands down. Better location, all the nightlife right there, Tao Beach and Venetian's regular pool isn't bad either.

How many nights are you staying? Which clubs and pool parties do you plan on hitting up? That price difference is significant and you won't be close to making that up in cab fare unless you are doing all of your daylife and nightlife at the north end. Cab ride from Mandalay to Encore is about $20 for example

I would also go wit Venetian, the hotel is better and u can't beat the location. If kids running around the pool will be a buzz kill then you want to stay away from the MB regular pool. Venetian has TAO beach and u won't see any kids running around there.

I've stayed at Mandalay and enjoyed the casino and the room... but told myself it was too far down the strip and never again...

Go with Venetian...

No particular reason, the upgrade was only an extra 20$ on the site.

As far as I know it's not really an upgrade, just 2 queens instead of 1 king. I don't remember the Bella suite having anything additional but I could be mistaken

A Bella Suite is not an upgrade over Luxury Suite. The rooms are the same size, and the only difference is 2 queens vs. 1 king.

That just saved you $60. Additionally, Venetian's daily resort fee is $17 and Mandalay's is $20.

I know that's not a huge savings, but it all adds up. I'd go with Venetian because of location and also because you're connected to Palazzo - between the two, you've got TONS of great restaurants and food options.
