the john varvatos chucks have never gotten me denied. very comfortable. laceless. i have worn them with slacks and with jeans. mine are a blue suede so they go with everything. also check bluefly.com you can find highend designer (gucci, prada) for a good price.

Not sure what the cost is for you guys in the US, but I tend to find that if you go into somewhere like Hugo Boss or Armani and get a pair of lace-ups you can't really go wrong.

Yeah they are pricey, but they are better quality and will easily last you 2 -3 years if you look after them. If you break down the cost that way, it doesn't look too bad.

Beware the smooth soles though, there's nothing cooler than stepping into a club and then slipping and falling arse over tit..(i would know)

That's all I wore this last trip. BUT it's never guaranteed. My sketchers go with my outfits, and don't have laces.
