  • Bottle Service Question...

    Question:

I can't seem to find my receipts right now and am trying to figure this out on behalf of a friend. She needs some help planning a budget, so I'm throwing this out there.

How are bottle service charges calculated? For example, if a bottle is 400.00, I'm aware that the following charges apply:

    8% NV state tax
    20% gratuity
    10% L.E.T. (if applicable)

Are the charges calculated only on the bottle:
    400.00 x 8% (state tax) = 32.00
    400.00 x 20% (gratuity) = 80.00
    400.00 x 10% (L.E.T. if applicable) = 40.00

That would total: 512.00 (no L.E.T.)/552.00 (with L.E.T.)

    OR

    400.00 + 8% = 432
    432.00 + 20% = 518.40
    518.40 + 10% = 570.24

I usually just throw in 200.00 -300.00 per head, but I'm helping a girl plan this for a bunch of girls so...you know that means.

& yes, they do want to do bottle service (it's a milestone birthday for one of them).

    Thank you all.
    FO SHO.

They're supposed to charge tax only on minimum, not including tip.

What I tell my friend is that each bottle would run for about $600 including the tax and gratuity. It could either b a lil higher or lower but it all depends on what type of bottles they want to get and what size.... hope this helps

Marquee is the only place that I know for sure does LET. We didn't pay LET at XS, Tryst and Surrender last time I was there. That could have just been the night we were there, but its only been mentioned on the forums relatively recently.

                    Isn't Vegas tax 12%?

edit: nevermind that's just for the hotel rooms, not bottle service (8.1%)
