To Book or Not To Book?

Hey fellas,

Need an argument resolved withing my mates circle. We are from London, England and 15 of us are coming over for a mates Bachelor party early July.

Would we be better off booking tables to make sure we get into clubs etc..... or would "playing it by ear" be ok?

Half of us are convinced that we need to book or we risk waisted nights in queues, potentially not getting in whilst the other half are arguing that "not every bloke who goes Vegas books so how do they get in - we will be ok?"

Advice, help, suggestions would help end any arguments before we go!

Chaps we know you can get into Casino Bars / Strip Clubs etc... we are more concerned about the bigger nightclubs e.g. Pure, XS, Tao. Whats your thoughts?

w/15 guys you'll have to first find out what your budget is.

Once you have that established, contact any of the promoters in this forum a couple weeks prior to trip. Shop around and see what deals you can come up with. Some promoters can def get you better deals than others.

I've found that table service will run anywhere between $250 (US)/person to $400/person depending on the day of the week, holidays, celebrity apperances, and what tier (I, II, III) club or pool party your looking at etc.

You could try to get into the clubs without booking a table but your group would have to divide up into smaller groups of 3-4. Some of the more popular clubs might require you to have girls with you depending on the night or if there is a special event. Take that into account with having to grease, pay cover, and drinks at the bar, a table would definitely be a better option if it is within your means. It makes it much easier and a more enjoyable night.

So do we run the risk of queueing for a long period of time outside only to get to the front for a doorman to say "sorry lads not tonight" if we were to turn up unannounced playing it all "by ear"?

This is honestly creating a divide in our group of mates so I want to be convinced that we will be fine to get in without booking anything prior OR I need as much info / evidence to convince others that we 100% need to book!

The clubs we have penciled down are:

Thurs - Tao
Fri - Pure
Sat - XS
Sun - The Bank

unless you're showing up super early to XS or greasing the doorman, you're gonna wait a very long time in line

With a group that big just split up into 3 or 4 different smaller groups and get there around 930 -945. Was recently there with a group of 10 and had no issues getting in on a Friday night after getting in line around 945. Waited about 20-30 minutes. Didn't even have to split up the group and had no girls. It's annoying getting there that early but XS has re-entry as well as the tables inside the club.

Cheers Pal, the only thing is you said you went recently and obviously we are going there peak season end of July / Start of August! Plus we have spoken to a girl mate who worked as a host for a couple of years and she is adament that we would need tables and expect longer than 30min queues!

You been peak season not just April time?

For the group that size I would most def go wit getting bottles. You have a big group and all MALES, its hard enough getting 3 guys in with out any girls now just imagen your big group. Also you have to think of how long you would wait in line wit out bottles or the huge amount of greasing you will have to do, plus add up all the money you guys will spend on drinks and MOST likely you guys will spend more NOT getting bottles. So if I was you guys I would really do bottle service.

You been peak season not just April time?

Yeah I've been during July and August and had no problems. Just get there early and split up the group. Only places I've had problems with big groups of guys is Tao. Knew about Marquee's 1:1 ratio requirement beforehand
