  • dresscode at Voodoo

First post so forgive me if this has been asked but I did use the search function and couldn't find anything on this. We have a group of 10 coming out on May 24th and we would like to hit up VooDoo Lounge and the question has come up about dress code. I have seen pictures online from VooDoo showing people in budweiser t shirts and hats - is there such a thing as a dress code at VooDoo? From what I have read on here it's not that happening of a spot - am I correct? We aren't looking for big clubs or dance spots - just a cool place to catch drinks and hang out. Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks

always dress to get in any club. Some guys may be in budweiser Tshirts because they may know someone at the club, owner, manager, casino worker or maybe they are with the DJ or they are the DJ.. dont risk it in vegas. dress to get in.

ive been to voodoo a few times. yeah its not the most poppin club but if you have a big group of friends who want to hang out, dance, have some drinks.. and keep each other together without worrying too much about the crowd then its your place. Ive gone when its poppin but it was about 75% full that day and they didnt have all the outside floors open. The last time i went it was about 50% full and they only had the main outside floor open. They had closed the other indoor room(i believe it was a downstairs room from the main room).

with great weather its a good place to hang out outside where you can enjoy the view of the strip.

if you want a place thats a bit more poppin i would suggest the Ghost bar. Its smaller than voodoo but it has more of a crowd.

Oh no worries about me showing up in a budweiser tshirt - never. Nobody in our group either but I was just wondering how strict the dress code was. I think Ghostbar would be a little clubby for our group - although I can't say for sure as I have never been there. Thank you very much for the information!

its a little clubby inside.. but there are some nice seats and tables outside. Ive gone out there and hung out for a bit. If you dont want it too clubby then it sounds like Voodoo is right for you.

You may also want to consider the MIX lounge at Mandalay bay.

I went there the last time i went to vegas and it was a nice spot.. there was music but we were chillin. It wasnt all in your face either and this spot has a NICE view of the strip. I went with 7 of my buddies and we all got some bottles for a good price(non major holiday).

We're planning on doing Ghostbar at the Palms over VooDoo Lounge. Never been to either but they seem much of the same creature but Ghostbar looks like it's a bit cooler and they have some good deals that let you get into other Palms clubs. For example, the VooDoo open bar is $60 without gratuity and Ghostbar is $75 with gratuity and you also get Playboy Club access. Ghostbar kind of won out for us. Just something to consider.
Am I the only one that walks into a Subway and says, "It smells like O'Shea's in here."

Probably going on the 24th as well. 10 hour flight from the UK means we are looking for somewhere to have a relaxed few beers on our first night.
            Posting on a different timezone.

Might have to look at Ghost Bar - have always wanted to go but have never went. The only club I have ever been in has been Studio 54 when I turned 21 - 11 years ago!! But I like to be able to move and be able to get a drink fairly quickly if I need one - I'm from WI and we don't like to be kept waiting!! Thanks everybody for the info!! 18 days away
