  • Anyone have some time to spare to help a newbie out?

Hey guys, looks like everyone on here is ready and willing to lend a helping hand, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction or give me some quick answers. Thanks in advance.

Will be coming June 2-5 for bachelor party, group of 5 or 6 guys total. Only myself and a couple others have been to Vegas before, and these trips were usually with family, girlfriends, etc.

Not getting in til late Thursday, so will probably lay low that night. Looking to fill up Fri and Sat with activities. Bought a livingsocial club crawl pass for one night (i haven't heard the greatest reviews about these things, but if anyone has any experience with them...what can we expect there? it was cheap and a good way to see several places in a short period).

Would like to have one pool day and a bottle service night.

Best way to go about this? Myself, as well as the others, are all attorneys so we have a decent amount of disposable income, but don't want to go completely broke in the process (all are young so still new associates). Also, due to the job, not a lot of free time on my hands to go through too much of an extensive planning ordeal. Would prefer to avoid a VIP third party service, but have heard good things about Red Carpet VIP.

I guess here comes the questions:
-Is it easiest to get a good cross-section of pricing through texting the hosts listed on the site and also just surfing the boards?

-Besides those listed, any good contacts for this?

-Should I be concerned, if I go direct through a club host, about getting bumped, being late to the table, etc etc that the third parties "guarantee" against?

    -Any particular clubs recommended?

-Which clubs are more apt to play more of mainstream and hip hop music? Would prefer to avoid techno

-Does anyone have any experience with the Palms 4 club pass?

I guess bottom line is we're trying to find the most affordable, without being a cheap ass, that is still going to be well worth what we put in.

    Pool situation...any thoughts there?

THanks guys for the help, sorry in advance I am sure all of this has been covered elsewhere but I'm just too busy to scroll through and look through everything.

Also, "Lounges." Can someone sum that up for me really quick? Mini club? More of a place to grab a pregame drink?

The best/most popular pool parties are Tao Beach for Friday and Wet Republic for Saturday. Get in touch with hosts on this site for guest list or bottle service, Thomas Gorman for Wet - [email protected], 702-340-6498 & Donnie for Tao Beach - 323-286-9255. The hip hop question is a popular one here but unfortunately the more popular clubs right now play more techno/EDM style music with hip hop rooms or mixing it in a little bit. Forum favorites for hip hop/top 40 are the BoomBox Room at Marquee, Opium Room at Tao, Jet, LAX, & Eve. The Palms wristbands are a big hit and a lot of people recommend them especially if you are a group of guys and don't want to do bottle service. With these you can go straight into the clubs with little or no wait. Friday would probably be the best day to do those. They also have one with a hosted bar that is pretty popular.

Most people here will also tell you to go directly through the hosts instead of using a third party company. You can text/email the hosts directly and there are a few on here with great reputations that can be found in the Host Appreciation thread. When you get time do a search on here for specific questions that you have, there is a lot of info that can be really helpful! Plan ahead and have a ball!

I guess here comes the questions:

-Is it easiest to get a good cross-section of pricing through texting the hosts listed on the site and also just surfing the boards?

Pricing is relative to your budget and number of people in your party. A female to male ratio would also be a factor. Standard weekend rates are $450-$475 for the general vodka/ mixer bottle at a nightclub.

Besides those listed, any good contacts for this?

This site ONLY lists good contacts (and when they go bad, they go off the site). That being said, check the host appreciate thread for ideas. The really good names will pop up over and over again.

[Should I be concerned, if I go direct through a club host, about getting bumped, being late to the table, etc etc that the third parties "guarantee" against?

Should you be concerned that you might miss your flight or that your hotel will be overbooked? Sometimes sh!* happens.

        Fortune favors the prepared.

Don’t play the IF game with these hosts. Be confident. Pretend you have the balls of a titan. You are the customer. If you don’t like what you hear, discontinue your conversation with said host and move on to the next one.

That being said, you need to show up on time and have this time slot pre-determined and clearly laid out by your host. You need to text them ahead of time and stay in touch that weekend. These hosts have had lots of people stiff them before so stand out by being honest, direct and polite.

Guarantees are only as good as the people who write it. Who cares what some shady third party service “guarantees”. At least if you use a Jack colton pre-approved host you have an outlet (this forum) where you can openly and fairly out them if they give you less than adequate service (which is an extreme rarity around here)

        Any particular clubs recommended?

Tryst, XS, Tao are pretty freaking amazing although tao gets really packed. I have had good times at JET and Lavo as well. I always have a good time at the Palms as well. Ghostbar and Rain are personal favorite. Drai’s is my favorite after hours spot.

-Which clubs are more apt to play more of mainstream and hip hop music? Would prefer to avoid techno

On a Saturday night, the clubs all play popular music. JET plays good hip hop/ pop and Rain and Ghostbar and Moon usually play good Hip Hop (check with the host who is playing that night)

If you are a Hip hop junkie, look for DJ 88. She is a resident at the palms and spins a lot at Ghostbar
        .

-Does anyone have any experience with the Palms 4 club pass?

Those passes work and they are a good option if you want to club hop around the Palms and don’t want to be tied down.

        Pool situation...any thoughts there?

Tao Beach. I have never gone wrong with it. Of course, this depends on where you are staying. I don’t like hopping into a cab with wet board shorts. I like to be close to my hotel. I can’t answer this in more detail unless you tell me where you are staying.

So ya, I know you said you are a busy guy but everyones busy chief. If you are the brains of this operation you have to put a little work into it. You don't just magically trip over a good time. Start texting.

In addition to this check out Marquee (Boombox Room), LAX, Pure, Tryst, Tao & Vanity seems to play a diverse mix as well. I've read that Eve and Haze also seem to play the mix you're looking for.

To Breeze on your last statement: never been said any better.

Great post! Personally, I wouldn't waste any time at the Palms unless your staying there. The clubs there have seen better days. Do the wise thing, spend a little more and go to the hottest club on the planet right now, Marquee!
You can NEVER go wrong with Wet Republic on a Saturday either....
