Lax?

So I'm heading to Vegas this Friday, the 19th, staying at Luxor. We've got an old high school friend who apparently is one of those VIP guys, says he'll take care of us over the weekend. Friday nite, he says he wants to take us to LAX. Its in his own hotel, makes sense. But... been reading up on reviews, especially on Yelp... doesn't look too great.

So I'm a little apprehensive. Should I be? Or am I sweatin' it too much? I checked out that all access pass at the Palms and that looks much more promising...

You really can't go wrong on friday & saturday nights. All the major clubs will be kickin'. I went to LAX on my last trip out about a month ago. I checked it out on a wednesday, which is their big night. The place was jam packed. The only negative for me, way too much hip hop music which sucked the energy right out of the crowd.

LAX sucks bad in my opinion. Smallest dancefloor I could ever imagine to be in a Vegas nightclub.

if hes getting taken care of where it will be cheaply priced or comped cant hurt to check it out, but just dont commit your whole night to it. I ahvent heard too many good things about lax

I also don't like LAX. We checked it out last summer and it was a mob scene, total mess. There was no room to move at all. I've been to other clubs when its been insane and even then you can at least shove your way on to the dance floor.

If you get a table those looked nice, but I would never go back if I was just going to have to stand around all night. The crowd wasn't too great that night either. They let in a lot of sloppy/trashy looking people...

agreed with NYC. Check it out and if it's not what you expected then hit up another club. Not much of a loss if it's comped.

yup, sounds like solid advice. Gotta find out exactly what "getting taken care of" really means, haha.

On the flipside, hows Cathouse at the Luxor? Seems to have a better reception based on reviews...
