Osama is dead!

My understanding from muslims i know is that 24 hours is preferred, but is old Law/tradition, and that 3 days is acceptable. Now when dealing with the extremist which do you think they live by.

At first I was skeptical about the burial happening so fast, but I also read that Saudi Arabia did not want to claim the body to give him a burial so they gave him an Islamic burial at sea. I can accept that... especially because they say he was shot in the head twice (one hitting his eye). Who wants to see that? I've watched the video walkthrough of the aftermath....and somebody definitely got shot. They say there are pictures of Osama but due to the head trauma its hard to discern the identity.

I think parading the body around would just have the extremist screaming "Haraam" and allow them to use it for recruiting purposes.

He probably died years ago with all the random bombings. Everyone in Afghanistan knew for years. The CIA just figured it out and made up some heroic story.

My father is muslim and I've been to many muslim funerals/viewings and they never happened the day after. I understand it's supposed to be very fast after the death but wouldn't it make sense to wait to bury him knowing that the world is going to want to proof?? Yes, it's tradition but he killed so many people and wreaked such havoc that (IMO) they could have waited a couple days to help ease the minds of people all around the world...

I don't want to get on anyones bad side or upset anyone - just wanted to point out that we should get all the facts before believing everything we read/hear.

I just don't like the REASONS that we gave him the burial so fast: To stay politically correct and take these TERRORISTS feelings and beliefs into consideration? For fear of retaliation?
