Sitting in the airport in Wales waiting for my plane to Amsterdam for the queens day street party and clubbing
Not Vegas related in any way but just wanted to as if anyone else apart from Nassau has been?

I married a Brit in London and my bachelor party was in Amsterdam. Turned out to be the same weekend as The Loveland Festival in August. Amsterdam is great. I usually go every couple of years or so. Never been for Queens Day. Heard good things about it. I'm going to Vegas for Memorial Weekend.

I live there. Unfortunately I'm missing Queens day for the first time in years, bad times.

I've been to Amsterdam. I just remember that smoking was a lot more expensive in cafe's than getting it in Vanshitty. Plus, it was a little weird, but annoying going to a sex show with a bunch of girls from Australia who kept complaining how degrading it was.

I've been told the shopping is good and make sure that you don't take pictures in the red light district because if you're caught, there's a chance someone will grab your camera/phone/whatever and throw it in the river?

Been a couple of years ago. The city itself is pretty small, but found it interesting how the downtown core is setup. It essentially goes a couple of bars,, then a "coffee shop" then a seires of red light windows...repeat...if I remember correctly. Found it kinda interesting that even families were walking in that area at night.
