Music Other Than Top 40/Hip-Hop

Are there any clubs known for playing music other than top 40 and/or hip hop on weekends? Its just generally not our thing. We are going to be in town MDW and tend towards electronic/dance/house/etc. (Or about anything different really *)

It's pretty easy to figure out (assuming I'm making the right assumptions) what will be playing the nights various clubs have special guest DJ's that weekend. However, I'm wondering if anyone knows about the other nights when the biggest names aren't necessarily playing.

* I should qualify that by noting nothing too old either. We quickly moved on from Ghostbar once when shortly after we arrived the crowd got really excited about the DJ playing "Jack and Diane"

That is good to hear, some how I had heard it was the other way around.

It use to be most hip hop a while back, but EDM has now taken over.

Most of the tier 1 clubs will have EDM playing.

Are there any nights at any clubs they play more specifically electro- related music? Stuff like The Presets or Ladytron, etc.?

I love EDM to death but it's a shame that local clubs in LA/Vegas are now like mostly EDM.

I love the hip-hop/Top 40 stuff because it's a lot easier to dance with girls in my honest opinion. But girls these days seem like they get HELLA more horny off EDM lol.
