Palms still good?

Hi!
Quick question.... with all the new clubs around, would you say that the Palms is still a good choice for a Friday night? Planning on getting bottle service at either Rain or Moon (opinions?)!

If it matters, we are a group of 8 (mixed f/m ratio), with the following plans so far:
Thursday: Tao
Friday: Palms bottle service?
Saturday: Marquee bottle service
Sunday: Lavo

depends what you like and if anyone's going to be hosting. everything is good in vegas on the weekend. Moon is cool because they have the view outside, roof opens and you can gamble downstairs at playboy! i won $$$ there on roulette. Definately a fun venue...

Hi! Thanks so much for your replies! We are just looking for a decent crowd, good music (preferably not all electronic dance) and a place to dance. I am starting to worry after reading several threads which refer to the Palms as being "old."

To be honest, i would suggest you grab the $60 Palms 4-club VIP pass. I did it last week and it was AWESOME-- no line wait and you can change your venue every few minutes or whenever you get bored. If you are a heavy drinker i reccommend you attach the 10p-1am open bar at one of the clubs for an additional $55-65(i forget the exact amount). This way you dont get tired of the same faces and its a great feeling chaning the venue--- it gives you a slight "pumped up" feeling everything you enter a new club--- oh and dodging those LOOOOONG club lines is priceless!!

Also make sure you keep ur Sunday-- LAVO plans the same, nothing like LAVO on sundays to finish off your week!!

Thanks for your reply! From what I've been told, if we get a bottle at one club, we will also get VIP access to the other clubs, so we will still be able to bounce around. If that is not the case, then I would definately just do the bands instead! The reason we are thinking of doing the bottle service is it seems like a hell of a deal. For only $50 more than the VIP all access bands, we will be getting 2 bottles. Without the bottle service, I am positive we would spend more than $50 each on drinks....

P.S. Since you say you just did it, I am assuming the Palms is still alive and kicking? What night of the week did you go on? What type of music was playing in the clubs?

As for music, Moon leans towards hip hop and top 40 and Rain more towards house depending on the night/DJ. Saturday nights are all house at Rain.

We just went to the Palms two weeks ago on a Saturday. Rain is all house / trance where the moon is more hip hop top 40. Rain had a better party atmosphere and hotter woman I found at least. but noth were good overall. Spent equal time at both clubs. Rain is pretty neat with the dancers and the fire etc.

I would check on the Bottle service - I was sure when I was reading you only got access to that one club (Well moon you get access to playboy as they are connected by stairs.) but I didn't think you got access to all 4 with bottle service but you do get a table which is priceless....... We ended up just getting the VIP bands for the guys and put the girls on the guestlist through janelle.

I can confirm that bottle service gets you VIP access to all four clubs as I just did it this past January... Be careful moving from club to club though... make sure to CONFIRM that your table won't be cleared when you leave... we went to rain for an hour and came back to an empty table... fortunately we had already finished our bottles... OAN: Being from the midwest I can also tell you that Vegas' label of "house" music is actually more electronic/trance/techno crap that would never make it in the birthplace of the genre...
