Atlanta Clubs

Even though I've been here for almost 3 years I feel out of the loop because I'm a busy student and spend a lot of my free weekends out of town.

Besides the usual suspects of Opera on Thursday, Compound on Saturday, and Velvet on Sunday what are some good popular spots to go to?

Prefer hip-hop and larger clubs as opposed to more lounge type ones. I prefer diverse crowds but as suggested by the clubs I listed above we usually end up going to mainly black ones.

Recently went to Havana for the 1st time and enjoyed it a lot. Any clubs similar to Havana? I really liked the crowd and the different rooms.

Can't go to Vegas every weekend so I would appreciate any suggestions

Seems like you've been to some of the bigger, more crowded spots in the ATL. Just try those clubs on different nights for a different vibe. I've been here 7 years now and basically there are less and less good clubs each year. Supposedly there is a new club opening up though. Can't remember the name. Havana on a Saturday is definitely on point. Gold Room and Tongue & Groove are waaaayyy smaller but the music and crowd are ok. They are hit or miss though. There is also Primal, but I've never been so can't say much about it.

Yeah the time I went to Havana was on a Saturday. Forgot to mention T&G but I agree it's def hit or miss. Can't stand Primal. Will have to check out Gold Room
