I know I've seen these questions asked a lot but never seem to see an answer. A lot of the info here is geared toward large groups. In July, it's just the BF and I. Obviously we're not doing bottle service cuz that would just be silly. We're planning on hitting some of the lounges though. I think Blush for sure and maybe some others (suggestions? I need to check the archives and such) We have the 1:1 ratio but would love to avoid lines. Are lines going to even be an issue? I know I can hit up a host for guestlist. What do you generally tip a host for putting you on the guestlist if you're not doing table service? Same thing goes for pools. If we reserve lounge chairs with a F&B min, I assume we don't pay pool cover and just pass the saved money on to the host for setting it up?

    Gracias amigos.
Am I the only one that walks into a Subway and says, "It smells like O'Shea's in here."

    Upcoming trips!
    July 9-12 - Mirage

If you're just trying to get into the club and you're not doing bottle service, there are two scenarios:

Scenario 1: Being on the guest list or using a host gets you past the line, but you still pay cover.
-In this case, I always tip the host $20 per person. Your time waiting in line could be worth at least that.

Scenario 2: Being on the guest list or using a host gets you past the line AND waives your cover.
-In this case, I always tip the host the COST of cover for each person.

This varies with some of the most popular clubs like XS and Marquee (they might actually tell you it costs $100 to walk you past the line on a busy Saturday night), but it's a general rule that I go by.

      Other couple-friendly suggestions to consider:
Pure - a couple months ago I stopped by on a friday and it had to have been couples night judging by all the couples
Voodoo Lounge or Ghost Bar - great views
Tryst - nice view of the waterfall/lake
"The Library" in Marquee- very chill atmosphere. Erika was our bartender and she was awesome)
      Bachelor Party Aug 16-19th!

Thanks for the tips and suggestions, this is exactly the kind of information I've been trying to find for my wife and I's trip as well. Would the above tips and suggestions also apply for MDW?
