Anyone been to this is it worth the trip? I want to play craps and see the light show. I also heard that bands play on Friday night. I will be bringing two friends and this will be their first trip to Vegas. What's your opinion? I get the impression it is like a block party.

Its definatley worth seeing if you have never seen it before ..its a pretty cool show .. I think they do the video show at the start of every hour from 8 till midnite...yes its pretty much like a block party ...

IMO it's definitely worth a visit.. fun atmosphere & decent entertainment. You can experience it all in under 3 hours, unless you're going to be at the tables for a while. We were there from 5PM-9PM and had fun. In order compete with the strip casinos they offer you good cheap buffets, cheaper gambling, better gambling odds, and looser slot machines (if you play them). It is kind of like a block party, but with an older crowd mixed in. Lately they've been adding events n things that attract younger crowds.

If you want to play craps you should check out Main Street Casino, Binions, Plaza. I believe Casino Royale on the strip is the only casino to offer 100x odds craps.

It really is amazing, a fantastic experience!!! One of the highlights of my trip was trying to carry 4 pints of beer through the crowd

Fremont is hysterical! It's like People of Walmart with blackjack tables. My BF and I always get a game of Fremont Bingo going (guy with fanny pack, huge lady with a belly shirt, cougar dress in all leopard print, etc.) We do it more in the early evening. Last time we went we hit up the $3 black jack and Fitzgeralds and won a good amount at a table with about the best people ever. Hell, I just like casino bars for the $2 coronas and walking around people watching.

haha...agreed. There are some pretty random characters there. This past weekend while on Fremont we ran into Michael Myers (Halloween), who was standing close to Adam (Hangover) with a fake "Baby Carlos" n all, Austin Powers, Michael Jackson, Pee Wee, and a Johnny Depp Mad Hatter.

They also have a zipline that you can do. I wish I got a chance to do it last time I was in town

I've gotten totally shit faced at Fitz at thier $3 black jack tables lol but I did turn $50 into $500

I definitely plan to go. I heard the craps tables were great downtown, but looks like it will be a great place to people watch.

The Deep Fried oreos down there are pretty awsome.....also make sure you go to the daquri place and get one with " double alcohol ...

Last time i was down there it was NASCAR weekend.....not the best time to go ... it was redneck city down there !

Redneck City? Then don't go to Panama City Beach, Florida during the NOLA Jazz & Cultural Festival. I went as a side trip and happened to be in PCB during a bike rally. I'd met a guy who told me he'd never go to Canada because he couldn't bring his gun with him...and then I found out PCB is considered the "Redneck Riviera"!

Lol... I went to PCB twice for spring break during college, and even then I could tell it was Redneck Central... It was just diluted because of all the college kids!

Glad to see others think it's worth the visit as well... I like downtown for a "change of pace". One word of caution, when the light show starts... put you hand on your wallet or clutch your purse, that when the pick-pockets go to work.
