  • Shoutout to a few hosts/The finger to my cheap ass "friends"

My first thread. Here it goes.....

    1) First off, props to Mikey T, Ryan Perrings, Donnie.LAVO, Janelle Banaga, Larson Legris, and Brad Spieser. I am kinda new to the whole club scene even though I'm a frequent visitor to Vegas. All of you guys have made it an easy transition with your quick responses to my texts and e-mails. Even though I haven't booked with some of you, you guys have been so helpful, and I can't thank you enough. (I'm sure most of the rest of the board concurs)

    2) Dilemma: So the reason I haven't booked with some of you is because my friends are so damn cheap. I tell them about all the benefits of bottle service and having a host and they think I'm crazy. What the hell can I do to change their minds? I've seen other posts where guys are in the same predicament as me, end up fronting the money, and get shafted at the end. I know I'm gonna hear "get new friends", but seriously, what the f*** am I supposed to do???

I had problems with my friends as well. They just can't get it in their heads that Vegas is so much more $ then our hometown clubs like 15.00 for a mix drink 30 bucks for cover 8-10.00 for a beer. The first time they came with me I tell them about bottle service and they say screw that. Then we hit up Tao and just paid to get in. Then afterwards after they seen the tables and the good times and when after the club they noticed they spent 400.00 bucks on drinks. It was then they saw the value in bottle service esp for the 4 of us. Now when we go to Vegas its bottle service for at least 2 of the 4 days we go. Sometimes they have to learn the hardway to understand.

Yeah man, gotta agree with Ready, people have to learn the hard way. I've had the same problems with friends in the past, some people just don't get it. In my experience after they've gone to at least one big club and had to fight for drinks and a place to stand/dance, hell sometimes take a deep breath the bottle service starts making a WHOLE lot more sense.

Seriously point them here and tell them to start reading, even if you have to point them to specific posts there is no question that the extreme majority on this forum understand the benefits of bottle service. I've even gone as far as put together a Pros/Cons and Bottle Service vs. Non-BS sheets to show them where the money is going.

I am already having this problem with my mates, they do not seem to grasp how anti-male the clubs are and how having bottle service is the way forward, i dont fancy being all tanked up in the mood to party and waiting in a line for 3 hours!!

Same here, though I think i'm winning them round by showing them this forum and highlighting how ladies will be wanting to party with you at a table as opposed to the crushed dancefloor.

The whole concept of bottle service isn't familar to anyone who has never been to Vegas so newbies from the UK need the hard sell!

I do not think that I have seen table service in England ever, though i remember seeing it in Cyprus & Greece.

At least your friends spend that much drinking so you can have a great argument. Either my friends do much of their drinking before the club or they get comped drinks while gambling inside the club or outside the club and go back in.

We have our biggest group yet going in July so I may be able to convince them to finally do it.

Just like "readyforvegas" said you really cant argue with the math. Then you have the convenience of having a place to chill/breathe. A group of 4-5 guys is most likely going to spend enough money throughout the night to pay for a bottle.

If they dont drink charge them half of what the drinkers are paying.

First timers are hard to convince until after that first night out.

Definitely dont front the money if people are acting flaky

How many are going on this trip? If you have a lot, then I suggest focusing on 2-3 of them that you think you can swing, and just get 1 table for you guys and let the rest figure it out for themselves. If there's only 3-4 of you then... you're stuck... figure out grease, wristband options.. or maybe join up with other JC members that might be going at the same time and split bottles with them. I really mainly go to vegas now with my JC friends...

I've been in the same situation... I actually had a night where the 4th member of our wolfpack refused to pay the $350 for table service... The plan was to split 2 bottles by 4(this was Summer 2010 Vanity Sat night)... 3 of us ended up splitting table service without him and we made our friend pay his own way all night while we kept a running tab...

The three man bottle service wolfpack paid $450 each which covered 2bottles, tip, tax & host tip (200)... If our 4th friend wouldn't have been so cheep we would have paid only $325 each...

Our friend had to get in by himself... Cost: $100+ Time 25 extra mins
                    Cover Charge: $50
Tip to our security guard to let him hang at our table (yes we made him pay this) $40
Drinks & Shots: $170 (10 drinks/shots @ 17 after tip) best moment was when he was macking on a group of 3 girls and they asked him to mix them a shot... Of corse he couldn't even look at our bottles and had to order the shots through the server which cost him like 50 bucks... While we mixed like 8 shots for everyone else around the table...
Our friend endend up spending more than if he would have just paid for table service with us... Since that night he just pays his 200-350 towards bottle servce, shuts up, and enjoys the ride...
                    Wolfpack is ready 7/21-7/25

This weekend is a group of 7. A couple of the guys are down, but a couple aren't. There's two of them turning 21 and they don't even want to go to any clubs, so it's a tough situation because they're the reason we're going. I'm going back in 2 weeks with another group of 7 guys and got them to go for at least one night, but they shot down my first choice (Marquee) due to price, which sucks because Marquee is basically awesome from what I've heard. I feel like I'm gonna end up getting a bad rep from the hosts because I ask for stuff and end up turning them down, and it's not even my fault!

I think you're just not used to going to decent clubs like you do in Vegas. I can assure you that you can get bottle service in any European city.

Whoa Whoa Whoa....they're turning 21 and they DON'T want to go to clubs??? Is it just me or is there something very wrong with that statement? I mean, granted I think Vegas is pretty amazing all around and there is a ton of stuff to do, but clubbing and gambling are pretty much your bread and butter out there, ESPECIALLY for a first time 21er. Yikes, not even sure how to tackle that one...

As far as the other guys are concerned, present the math like everyone is saying and there is virtually no way to argue with it. I can understand if it isn't fitting budget, Marquee isn't the only game in town and the truth is that you have to make your club experience amazing, it doesn't just happen if you walk in the door so find a club that can fit the budget and make the most of it.

I'm gonna take your advice. I'm so f*cking sick of my cheap ass friends. I do this to the girls too because I've seriously lost all patience for the cheap ass motherf*ckers.

I get asked all the time how much do tables run & when I mention tips, they all change their tune (and I'm in Vanshitty, the place where if you don't tip, they spit in your food! J/K.)

+1 to drew regarding meeting up with JC people.

Find some forum members to join your party and you'll be set. Then you can always plan your trips with other JC members
