I did notice though, that when the crowd is a bit older, it's usually the men that are in 30s.
I'm in my 30s now and feel much more confident than I did when I was in my 20s. Back then, I was much more shy around the opposite sex (being Asian descent didn't help).

But, I must say that on the last time I went to XS, we had a table beside us with a couple that was definitely over 50, possibly over 60. That was definitely the oldest people I've ever seen in a club.

But, I thought that was cool. They had their champagne and strawberries and seemed content and happy to be in each others company, even with all the drunken douchebags and fake bimbo hoes grinding around them.

Hbksteve- thank you for perfectly illustrating nearly every point I had.

Now, please excuse me. I have some "old people" shit to get to. You know, check on my 401k, plan a trip to Napa, and find a recipe for osso bucco. All while listening to NPR.
Am I the only one that walks into a Subway and says, "It smells like O'Shea's in here."

Im a young male(under 26) & like I said, i love me an occassional cougar but how the heck are you honestly gonna compare a young prime adult with an older adult-- thats just silly. Again I dont mean to insult anyone-- not at all, but i gotta stand up for the young ladies!
And to be blunt-- i think some of the older gentlemen posting that young women are "typically are less interesting, less fun, and more annoying." is blasphemy! First off it all depends on the individual and 2ndly the vibe ur giving off when talking to a woman. If i was a young chick i would give you the "boring, uninterested" vibe too if an old dude hit on me... now if it was a RICH older dude we can talk.. $$$$ lol.
Lets stop the OLD vs Young Crap-- everyone ROCKS in vegas.. my question was merely "Where do all the young people go at night?" and to some extent-- its been answered. THANK YOU
Since you called me out on my "typically are less interesting, less fun, and more annoying" comment in sentence where you were mentioning "older gentlemen," I'd like to point out that I'm 23 years old. I haven't dated anyone less than 3 years older than me since I was 20. Call it preference, I call it intelligence.

As for girls "giving off" that vibe... No. Based on your attitude and commentary, I'm sure I could pull girls who are 2-3 points higher than the girls you can, no matter if they are 18 or 28.

Everyone does rock in Vegas. So why do you care how old they are?
I dont think he was trying to call you out really...but in the end I think he's stated his point is sex. Straight up. haha

Ok that nonsense aside, There is no need to say who and what you have dated. This Post is NOT about dating(More like vegas hook-ups & 1nighters), its simply what the title states: "Where the heck are the Young people at" thats it! No need to get defensive if you're old, no need to compare old vs young & no need for talk down to the younger crowd.

Oh, And about the picking up women 2-3 points higher than me-- good luck cause i use the Grading system baby!! Numbers are for quakers!
^^^jk about that btw, dont start another WWII online.... =P

Seriously though, in the end, if you're hanging out with anybody from this board, you'll find that the age group varies, but the key thing is partying, which we all have in common.

LOL, wow...this thread got pretty interesting! To the OP, I know in my case (I just turned 30), whenever I go to Vegas with my younger brothers (21-25) and their friends they hang out at the pools or cheap gambling places mostly during the day and at night they really aren't into the Vegas club scene simply because of the headaches of getting in, strict dress codes, and the prices for everything. They party at home (Chicago) in clubs but when going to Vegas, paying $50+ to get in then $15 per drink they would just rather hang out on the strip or hotel bars, etc. at night. Maybe this is the motto for that age range. My friends are more proned to go to the clubs cuz we do the research and know how to work the club scene in our favor and for the most part we can afford bottle service and understand the value of it more than my bros and their friends, they just don't think it's worth it and would rather spend their money and time doing the hundreds of other things Vegas has to offer.

On another note, how do you know what the majority age group is per club? Is this based on what age the people look or just based on the ones you've talked to in each club? I really do think it's a money thing though. Vegas clubbing, as I'm sure you know, can be pretty expensive and a lot of people in that age group just may not have it or just don't think it's worth it.

                  WELL SAID!! TY SIR!!
                  - I have enjoyed, VERY MUCH, Hanging out with an older crowd-- pretty much every single time i've been to Vegas-- However this post was intended, SIMPLY, to ask "Where the heck are the young ppl at?" I will continue to enjoy partying up with different kinds people and having fun. I merely wouldnt mind a lil variety and perhaps, partying with ppl my age(just once) in Vegas---

I completey understand where ur brothers are coming from. Our grp is ages 22-25 but luckily we come from LA and can avoid the travel costs. Like i mentioned we're not rich or anything but we're ok financially where we can afford 3-4 "Good" vegas trips. 2 of my buddies are always short on cash but we still manage to club it every night and get bottle service a few times. It just depends what you want to do. Here are some suggestions: PLAN AHEAD. Try to get on Guestlists and Know where you are going b4 hand. Get there EARLY to chop off the full admission cost & guarantee entrance. Also try to charm a couple of ladies into jumping in line with you-- if ur on the Guestlist aslong as you have some girls you can get in free! Here is a tip that saves us $100s when we dont feel like spending much-- DRINK AT YOUR HOTEL! If you picked up girls earlier on the strip you can actually have just as much fun at ur room for a couple of hours playing ur IPOD and drinking at ur room with friends & ladies. Grab a large plastic cup (ex. 7-11 "Big Gulp) toss a few shots and ur favorite mixer and ur set. Once Your in the club you only need 1 drink every hour or so. This also saves you time on trying to get "buzzed" and lets you focus on charming the females on the dance floor. Bottle service does have its value but its VERY possible to juggle around it and save 1000 bucks(literally) & Allows a bit more flexibility. I normally get bottle service at only 1 or 2 clubs per trip-- depends on the vibe and if we're late to the club or having difficulty getting in for some reason. OH ya that reminds me SPLIT ur grp if all males, Grps of 2 guarantees entry especially if ur able to ask a lady or two to join up with you. If you do all this your looking at spending no more than $100 a night for FULL NIGHT's FUN!! About $0-$30 for Club entrance, $10-$30 for drinks(if u pound at the hotel), $20 Taxi(round trip) & maybe a few bucks on a late night snack if ur sober enough to acknowledge hunger lol.

About the age thing-- Im pretty sure most ppl can accurately tell an age within 3-5yrs... well I know my pals & I can. & I think the fact that most women say direct comments like "Im in my dirty 30's & i have a thing for younger guys", "are you into cougars?" & other such comments also tells me they are older than 30 lol. Again if anyone reads this dont take offense, i have NO PROBLEM with older women than myself--- I enjoy their company from time to time.

And to answer the last part of ur question, i understand Vegas can get pricey for the younger crowd but I swear to you: During the day I see hundreds walking the streets, partying at the Pool Parties and even at Restaurants-- however when the night comes Their numbers reduce to 3% of the population at night clubs-- what gives? lol How the heck can they afford to travel to vegas, Eat, Drink and party during the day but at night time they're like "Ok lets sleep and save a few bucks" LOL!

Maybe they are all running away from you

                      joking...

But seriously, you can only be in one place at a time. It's possible that you have a natural ability for picking where the young people aren't

If in the heat of the moment you actually care...you haven't been drinking enough. So the next time you're like "where's all the chicks that are my age?" Take another shot, relax, and focus on getting it in

HA! That was a good roast! Nah im definetely buzzing enough, to be honest, it was a thing we noticed after our first night at the Palms. We were like hey you notice that we always hook up with Chicks 5-10yrs older than us... then we back tracked and realized we cant seem to find the young-ins we see during the day at night-- And i swear we've been to 90-95% of all the main clubs including the side ones at Palms & Hard rock. So we started noticing that that majority of the crowed is considerably older than than our grp average. Not a big deal-- but just--- we wouldnt mind hooking up with our age grp from time to time and that is how the Initial post question arose-- i think its the general consensus that the older crowd are more financially stable and with Vegas being "pricey" and all the youngsters are the minority during the night...

Couldn't have said it better, if anything i would say younger people (bearing in mind im 25) are a tad overwhelmed by prices, atmosphere etc to just throw yourself into a party.
