  • Hard Rock Pool - Saturday Scene

    All,

I'm booking a bachelor party in early July and leaning towards the Hard Rock. Will only be able to hit Rehab for a few hours Sunday to make our flights, but was wondering what the Saturday scene was like there. I know it's not a major party, but is it a good vibe?

    Thanks

There are so many better options on a Saturday....Wet Republic, Encore Beach, Liquid, Tao Beach, etc...

Personally, I wouldn't recommend Rehab either nor staying at the Hard Rock.

Stay at the Cosmopolitan if you're looking for a younger crowd with a great vibe and a good location. It's the hottest spot in Vegas right now.

Just knowing the guys I'm going with, I don't think we'll be heading to a different pool than the one we're staying at on Saturday. How's the pool at the Cosmopolitan? I guess it's a little early to tell...but good expectations?

I've heard Hard Rock is a fun, younger crowd - not where I'd go with my wife, but solid for a bachelor party. Any specific negatives?

For me, the crowd at Rehab is way too much like the Jersey Shore. Sure, it's a party atmosphere, but not the kind of people I want to party with or be around.

I haven't been to Marquee's Day Club, but I would bet a lot of money it's a better scene/crowd overall than Hard Rock's pool on a Saturday.

The Hard Rock is also going through a lot of financial struggles and management changes. There are just too many better options, IMO.

Hard Rock just isn't the hot shit anymore.

I'd stay at MGM Grand or Cosmopolitan if I were you - and go to Wet Republic or Marquee Day Club. Everything you need is at both of those hotels.

I enjoy the hard rock pool every day that I am there. It is a great pool and there are always beautiful people there and Saturday gets going pretty good. No it isn't THE SPOT to be, but it is still a blast and IMO there is a lot to be said for not having to travel and deal with lines, cover charges etc....

Also, if you are going to do a hotel pool over a pool party on a Saturday, Hard Rock is hands down the best pool.

I do believe on Saturday most chairs are available only through an F&B minimum.

I love staying at the hard rock though so I may be biased.

Early July? Like in July 4th weekend? If so, it'll be busy and a good time.

FYI, last Summer, you couldn't get the free guest wristbands for Rehab if you were checking out on Sunday. Only if you were staying through Sunday night. No wristband = $100 to get in. Might be something to think about if you can't even stay the whole day Sunday.

I'll agree with Brett. Hard Rock just isn't the place to be anymore. I went to Rehab opening day and the crowd just isn't what it used to be. I can also tell you the prices at the pool have gone up as well. Not worth it in my opinion. Tell your buddies to suck it up and go to Wet Repbulic on Saturday. Trust me they'll be glad they did. Sunday head to Encore Beach Club.

How was the crowd? I went once and that was about 4 years ago. It was definitely an eye-opener, but in the end, I wasn't impressed. After about 4 pm, the water was a disgusting mix of what felt like sunscreen, jizz, piss & alcohol.

Plus, I can't stand douchebags and bitches that think their sh*t don't stink. & believe me, there was a lot of that there.

Funny enough though, Body English/Vanity has never felt that way to me.

i like rehab. i like the music, staff is friendly, girls made converstation as I paid. hot ass girls. the jersery shore "people" mentioned above can be found in any pool. I went to tao beach on Friday and was not impressed. You can fit 10 tao beaches in rehab.

youtube some videos, you will get a better idea.

my buddy went to encore, but I really wanted to go to rehab. encore had some famous guest DJ and my buddy said he walked right in. There was no line in rehab either but something tells me there were more people in rehab.

Rehab is for 21-26 year olds who dont mind wading in piss and suncreen and paying huge $$ to watch a live Jersey Shore episode. If thats your thing, then highly recommend it.

I think you'll find a a bit of that crowd anywhere you go, but it's definitely more on display at Rehab espescially today. I'd say the guy/girl ratio definitely favored the guys. The crowd wasn't as diverisfied or girls as beautiful as it has been in the past. I defintiely enjoyed Rehab 4 years ago, but I just think the wow factor has passed. Encore Beach Club is just the new it spot on Sunday. Also another thing to take into account is while Rehab has the huge pool it's deceiving in the fact that all the action takes place in that main pool area to the right. It's fairly empty at the pool area to the left. I feel like Encore is more open.
