Isn't the point of Vegas is to never be in the room? Most of "The Hangover" took place "outside" of the room. I'm just saying...and 'cause I ain't rollin with dat much cash homey.

I never understood why anyone would spend that type of money on a room in VEGAS!! Unless ur having a party in the room, what's the point? I spend about 4 hours a day in the room when I'm in Vegas and that's between sleeping and getting dressed! Even if you can afford it, I don't see the point....

While I think we all can agree this room is a bit "over the top" (but if your budget permits... go for it!), I've never bought the notion some float around here that the "room" doesn't matter when you "do" Vegas. I think it matters a lot!

I make it a point to get a nice room, with a great view and at the end of the floor, no matter where I stay. As I walk from my room to the elevator, I take note of the rooms the maids are in that have 2 queen beds, a rollaway and sleeping' bags, etc. and luggage, laptops and clothes everywhere. Hell you might as well stay at a hostel!

3-4 guys in a 2 Queen-bed room IMHO opinion isn't doin' Vegas right... it's shackin'-up on the cheap and when the same group that splits an $79 room 4 ways goes out and drops a couple grand at a club? Sorry, that's like the guy who buys a new BMW and parks it at $450/mo apartment.

I'm not for one-second advocating blown' your wad on the room, cause you're right, when it's all said and done, it's just a place to lay your head... but for me it does kinda set the tone for my visit... pre-game, after-hours company, even waking-up w/hangover is just better in a great setting.

It only makes sense to me if you are with a group of people, I do like my space. Just don't see the point of spending thousands per night on a room. You can party and gamble with that money.

When you're on a budget 4 guys in a 2 queen bed room isn't that bad. I rather have 1 nice room at the Wynn with the setting that you mentioned rather than 2 rooms at IP just so everyone has their own bed. Some nights I don't sleep at all and some nights I sleep somewhere else so sharing a bed isn't a big deal.
