I know both are cheaper hotels so I'm not expecting anything 5 star. I've stayed at the Flamingo before and had no complaints. I'm going to Vegas in July with 3 other girls and we're stuck between two rooms. One girl has heard Bally's is "pretty crappy," but I've heard it's decent for the price. I've looked up reviews for both and it seems that the general consensus is both are dated, but decent & clean. Which of the following 2 options do you think will be the best decision. We're staying from Saturday - Thursday.
Flamingo Go Room for $170 per person for 5 nights
Bally's Classic Room for $60 per person for 5 nights
Bally's North Tower Dexlue for $150 per person for 5 nights (is this much different than a classic room? Also, the PetStay North Tower Deluxe is like $200 cheaper. I'm not bringing my dog, but do I need to bring a pet to stay in a pet stay room? Is it likely to smell like dogs from the previous guest?)
Obviously, Bally's is the cheaper deal, but would choosing that room in that hotel over the Go room be regrettable? Does anyone know how the sizes of the rooms compare. The website states the Bally's rooms are 450 sq ft, but I can't find the square footage of the Go rooms. I've stayed at Mandalay Bay, IP (first trip ever), TI, Harrah's (would not stay again), Flamingo & some hotel off the strip (for a conference). I'd lke to try Bally's, but my one friend is really against it and my other friend is somewhat against spending the extra cash on the Go room when she could spend it elsewhere in Vegas. If it was solely my choice I'd choose the Go room, but is that really the best option?
