Temp ID papers alone okay?

My friend lost her ID and we're from california so it's going to take at least 3 months to replace it. Are the temp ID papers on their own good enough for our vegas trip? I've seen threads like this in the past but those were for people who still had their expired ID on hand.

She could bring her passport, but obviously that's not preferable. That's probably the last thing you want lost/stolen at a club....

You could use the temp papers but to be safe bring the passport. Ive been in a situation like this in LA. One club denied access the other one let me in after 15mins of fully examining my papers and credit cards..it was definitely annoying.

Yup its the last think you want stolen so be extra careful =)

It's going to depend on the person that looks at it. Might be lucky and get away with the temp papers, but don't count on it. Though a state id would probably be best option if worried about losing passport

Passport. Papers get declined regularly in any city. LV is no different.
