How to kill 6-7 hours on a Friday night by myself

Going for a bachelor party in a few weeks. Problem is I'm flying in at 6pm and everyone else wanted to drive from LA and will get there at midnight or 1am.

Staying at Monte Carlo. Won't have a room since the person on the room is coming late.

Bought ticket online to check out Marquee (just wanted to peep it) and see the venue, only $30, no biggie.

Thinking of grabbing a dinner and then bar hopping at Aria maybe at some of the spots, I remember liking the english pub in there.

any suggestions on places to go that are good for one? communal tables where its easy to meet people? good bars for one? etc?

Do what I did - drop your bags off at the bell desk, go and get wasted, find a discreet place to sleep and then wake up when they get there.

You should be able to get your name added to the room and check in.

I would grab dinner, walk around Cosmo and City Center and then gamble for a bit. The strip club isn't going anywhere, save for it for when everyone else shows up

I had to kill 4 hours when I was last there waiting for the rest of my crew - I did have a room so I checked in, but I then promptly headed to a casino to play craps, socialize, and drink!!!! You're never really solo in VEGAS!!

Look on the brightside. After your flight delay, missing luggage, rip-off cab ride and hassle with the bell-hop you'll only need to kill about thirty minutes.

i never check anything in when I fly. don't want to bother with the lines at check in either...sometimes those suck on a friday early evening

Don't gamble either...just really bad at it. I figure I need to relax maybe for an hour or two before going out and getting a bunch of drinks. We may go to a strip club late at night so I'll wait for everyone else to come.

I'm kind of looking for a place to get a massage/facial (legit one) that isn't too pricy on the strip...not sure if those little hawaiian mini-mall or whatever has anything. that'll burn an hour and then will probably relax me so i can go strong the rest of the night. I've already seen all the stores in vegas. Just trying a good place with a bar that is good to drink at early evening or even just what hotel to go to for this.

I have a kindle so where's a good place to read..maybe a lounge area like the one at bellagio where i can drink up. I'm only bringing a small briefcase with me with my clothes in it...so I don't really have to check it in at bellhop until i go to a bar. but a casino lounge I should be good with it I think.

Cab ride isn't that bad, as long as you tell them to take Paradise. I think it cost me $20 inc. tip to get to Encore, vs like $35 to get to TI the first time I went to Vegas.

Go learn blackjack from a nice dealer/good people at the table. I've taught people who've never played before very quickly and seen them win $500+ in one night. BJ is seriously easy and just follow the book.
