Ultimate Pub / Bar Crawl

Can any of you fine people recommend the ultimate bar crawl for me? I am organising a triple stag do and there are going to be 21 of us going for 4 days in May.

We are staying at the MGM so could either start around here or end up back here (probably sensible). We are planning on starting early / mid afternoon so please take into account our alcoholic state of mind and likelihood of getting in certain bars if they are towards the end of the evening!

This is what I’m planning (in order) with my GF in May. Keep in mind, these places are more “laid-back” (i.e. cheap) so if you want upscale this isn’t what you want. Of course I may alter this if any of the places look too sketchy.

Casino Royale for $1 beers/margaritas
Carnaval Court – Harrah’s
O’Sheas – beer pong
Margaritaville – Flamingo
Rockhouse – Imperial Palace
Bally’s – Tequila Bar
Paris – Chatteau Beer Garden
PH – Fat Tuesdays

To each his own, but I just don't think Vegas is the place to bar hop. To me, you'd have much more fun pooling your money and getting a sweet setup at a pool party. That's where the hot chicks will be in May. Not at a bar in the afternoon. Then go out to a club that night.

+1 Carnival Court, 'ritaville, & Tequila Bar at Ballys. Those are all great places for hanging out and serve good drinks.
Diablo's & The Pub over at Monte Carlo are right across the street from MGM & good for chilling. BB King's place in the Mirage isn't bad if you like live blues/ R&B plus the wings are excellent! Cabo Wabo at the Miracle Mile (Planet Hollywood) I haven't had the chance to check out myself but everytime we walked by it was pretty crowded. Bill's Gambling Hall is similar to Casino Royale & will have cheap drink specials as well as really bad (in a very entertaining way, especially after a few cocktails) karaoke & classic rock cover bands.
Without sounding too cheap, keep your eyes open for 2 for 1 drink coupons. They're all over the place & will save a TON of money even at the less expensive bars. There's a couple for Diablos on the free coupons section of this site.
Search here for "Happy Hour" and you should find the latest & greatest info on specials. There's a list of them. Happy drinking!

Sometimes it seems when you over plan drunken fun in never turns out right. Let the liquor tell you where to go.....only he knows the answer!

Love this idea! I go through a few handles on each Vegas trip for a reason Also if you are hurting for a cheap drink ,always go for the casino pit bars vs the actual bar/restaurant. Definitely not the club.

pre-gaming in the room is always a good idea, then you start a buzz and don't waste as much money getting yourself going for the rest of ur plan.

+1 You're staying at MGM, go to their pool. Trust me, right now you're thinking about all the bars to go to but once you get there and you see everyone in beach clothes you'll change your mind. Also, during the week you could get into wet republic and by asking for a day chair and just follow the F&B minimums. There's way more action there.

We've just been in a similar situation, planning to do a bar crawl next Friday to all the places that have been listed here.

But then we thought we can kind of do a bar crawl anytime, in any city. The pool parties are a bit special and a bit 'Vegas' so we're doing one of those instead.

I also have a feeling that although we planned a bar crawl, the less hardcore in our group would start moaning about "being tired" and "couldn't even think about having any alcohol today", and drag the rest of us down and waste the day.

Now we will HAVE to get out of bed to get to the pool party and it will be more like "music. sunshine. beautiful people. Bottle of grey goose? well, don't mind if I do.."

I had this experience last year, i'm thinking this year, especially for WET and EBC, of drinking myself sober and skipping bed. We had some lazy blokes in our group who refused to get out of bed. Fuck letting them spoil what ive waited all year for!
