  • Advice: Caesar's Palace vs. MGM Signature Penthouse

I will be there from 05JUN11 to 07JUN11 & am 45. Which would you rather be at? I am able to get both Caesar's & the Signature for $90/night.

I heard Ceasar's is kinda old depending on what tower/room you're in.

The Signature is really nice, non smoking, balconies and a kitchen BUT it's kind of far from a lot of stuff. We spent a small fortune on cabs when we stayed there for 5 nights last year. I guess it also depends on what you plan on doing while you're there. Since it's only a couple nights you shouldn't be too worried, maybe go with Ceasars based on location...

Signature is nice and clean, but lacks the energy that Caesars does.

Signature is a long walk from the MGM Casino/Restaurants, you need a cab to get everywhere, etc.

Caesars can be really nice if you get one of their renovated rooms or new towers (you have about a 60% chance of getting a very nice room). It's also right in the middle of the strip and has everything you need right on site.

Forum Tower is renovated now, but not the Classic Tower. I forget what that's called.

MGM Signature has the benefit of multiple pools: MGM pools, Wet Republic and and MGM Signature's small, but fun party pool, if that helps any.

I would have guessed the Sig was quiter crowd, and not as much a fun party pool, more low key. I thought Sig catered more to famillies+older couples. am I wrong?

We're debating staying at Sig, but figured the pool wouldnt be as much of an attraction as even the regular adults-only MGM pools. And Im kinda worried the hotel itself is too far from the action of the casino.

The action AT the Signature itself is definitely WAY quieter than at Caesars. If you want some liveliness in your actual hotel, stay at Caesars.

With that said, the Signature is very nice inside and has close access to all of MGM Grand's amenities.

The pools at MGM are much nicer than Caesars. Of course being a guest at MGM sig you get access to the MGM pools. The walk from MGM Sig to the MGM casino is about 10 mins (you go on a moving walk), but you're indoors the entire time.

The main advantage of caesars is the better location on the strip, and well the walk from your room to the casino action will take less time. tough decision, but I personally would pick MGM Sig and just take the monorail to Flamingo. The rooms at MGM Sig are much nicer for the price you pay compared to Caesars. The monorail station is a fairly close walk from MGM Sig.

You can get a 3-day monorail pass for $28, it'll save you a lot of $ on cab fare if you use it. The monorail runs from MGM and has several stops all the way to the other side of the strip (Sahara).
