  • Questions about nightlife/tipping/bars

    Hey All!

Have a group of 30 going to Vegas for a wedding. We are doing a coed bachelor/bachelorette party( I know-what fun is that). Bride and groom wanted to do it together. We have a party bus taking us around on a Thursday night, and I was curious on some good bars to go to. They did not want to do any of the big clubs ( again-yes I know WTH are they thinking) . Wanted some ideas where men and women could have fun. Ages of group 27-33.

Also what do you tip a Vip host that put together a party package for you, but we are not doing a club or bottle service anywhere. He just set up the bus and times for us, and a minimal intinary.

We thought about going to the strip club Olympic Gardens since it has male and female dancers. I heard it's a pretty scary place. Any ideas or suggestions on this.

    Thanks!!

I agree with this. If they're not wanting to go to a big club or something (I figure it's because of the budget), then casual bars might be the best thing.

Really, you don't need a VIP host to put together a party package. YOU can do this yourself. and YOU can get the tip!

Ask as many questions as you can from you group (what kind of music do they like, are they bar/lounge or do they like doing stuff like beer pong, etc.) and do some research.

I know! I completely agree! Ugh! Well half the group wants clubs and can afford it...other half wants something chill. Play sick and do own thing is sounding like a great idea! :-)

Wow a coed bachelor/bachelorette party? Sounds like someone is insecure about letting their fiance go to vegas alone.

I know this sounds silly, but if they can't afford it then why go to Vegas? Unless you plan on spending all your time downtown it's not exactly a cost conscious kind of trip. You would probably go through more money at the strip club then at an actual club. I'd suggest getting the all access wrist bands for the Palms which gets you into all 4 spots for $60 - (Ghostbar & Playboy (more lounge/bar like), Rain (major club), Moon (smaller club). You may have to call Palms though to see if they can work something out for a group that large. Other wise I'd suggest hanging out around the casino bars. Maybe check out the piano bar and Carnival Court at Harrahs which are free admission.

I'm probably gonna get some nasty comments for saying this, but most Jack and Jill stags I know of have been Asian couples.

I'm Asian and I don't know what it is, but it seems a lot of them do it that way.

I for one, don't mind a Jack and Jill, but there's definitely one night I'd suggest where the girls and guys to be partying separately!

They are getting married there in Vegas at a family members house. Some of the people in the wedding and family can't afford too crazy of a time which puts a damper on the ones that can and want to party hard. It was suppose to be seperate parties, but the bride and groom thought it would be more fun to have the whole group go together since the whole group doesn't know everyone to seperate the parties. I know I agree having a coed one in Vegas is just plain silly! Luckily I am in charge over the whole thing and I was this to be a blast, so I have pulled some strings and are going to go to the clubs. The group will just have to deal with it.

The wedding couple are not Asian. I have actually been to a bunch of coed parties. Maybe it's a Midwest thing I don't know.

Thanks for all the tips. Luckily I can afford anything and plan to party Vegas style!! No Debbie Downer here!!

And yes, Olympic Gardens is scary.
