Flips have been popular among forum members here and have helped bring many trips to life with vblogs... well if you've been wanting one, get it while you can! Just saw an article that Cisco is shutting down the flip business...

From a tech stand point i'm glad, they can finally get back to focusing on making GOOD networking equipment.

As a average consumer I would rather see them sell the brand off to another company then to can it all together.

It's a smart move since the Flip isn't up to the level of Kodak's line of digicams and that market as a whole's going to steadily lose ground to smartphones.

i have a Creative Vado.. its a hand held video recorder. Kinda fun to bust out and not worry about my phone battery dying. Ill make sure i take it to vegas on my next trip. Too bad my next trip is AFTER AOD
