Went on Tuesday (open all week). It's very nice but small. Had the morning hangover cure frozen cocktail (2nd drink on their menu) it was perfect for a nice warm day. Tao Beach size is about pretty accurate. Obviously on Tuesday it wasn't a party just people chilling at the pool. It was a good time though. Played some house / hip hop most of the time I was there. It looks like it going to be very expensive depending on what day and DJ is going to be there at least if you are going for table, cabanas, or chairs. I was speaking to one of the waitresses inquiring for when I come back for a bachelor party in June and she mentioned that the cabanas with the personal hot tubs were gonig for a 10K F&B minimum. Chairs were about $250. Then prices went all over the map depending on location. Without one of those options there is no where to really set up. Both pool areas are surrounded by all the beds and chairs on all 4 sides.

This blows. From the way you describe it, people with no bed/chair or cabana are gonna be stuck standing like statues. At least at some pools, there's some room for people to lay down a towel.

Ash, that's pretty accurate at least in my opinion. Without a chair, cabana, or table, you are pretty much left to stand unless you are in the pool.

Thank you very much for the report. This is such disappointing news. We didn't need a more luxurious Tao Beach, we needed an EBC 2.0. What a strategic blunder! Tao Beach already has the smaller pool party market covered but now it looks like the Tao Group has just managed to only compete with itself. It's a shame because they did so well with the nightclub and they are currently giving XS, Tryst, and Surrender a real run for their money. Maybe it could be the "new club sheen" but at least they took bold action. Now it appears that Wet, EBC, and the declining Rehab will continue to be the only megapools and the monopoly will be unchallenged. Maybe Nikki Beach could attempt to get a share of that market but the location is probably too much of a lift. Marquee would have been in perfect position to do so leveraging the power of the hotel and the already successful nightclub to score a knockout but instead made a puzzling choice. I hope I'm wrong and that Marquee Day ends up being a masterpiece but I'm not optimistic.

You're probably right, Mikey. Looks like a table or two at EBC is in my immediate future.
