Hello, brand spankin new member to JC here... Booked a trip last week to sin city staying at HRH for Sat 6/4-Tues 6/7... Really it will be my cherry poppin experience... I've been to Vegas a bunch before I was 21 and now just once for one night post 21 but on a verry limited budget!
So we're booked at HRH for the stay we also got them to throw in the Rehab passes with the room.. Now I have seen the show, reviews and everything about Rehab... My question is: is it really still good? Or are we setting ourselves up for disappointment? Will we be better off at MGM/WR? I need selling points here... some members of the group are totally sold on HRH/Rehab. I think were paying $450 for 3 nights plus entry to Rehab for 3. And what is the $20 bill trick? Stick a 20 between the ID and CC and ask for an upgrade? I work for a 5 star hotel and haven't heard of this being okay with our FD but then again its not Vegas... Regardless I am so stoked for this trip! And I'm glad I stumbled across this forum to find other Vegas junkies like myself!

Alrite mate, I am headin out to Vegas then from the 3rd to the 10th of June with a few mates from the UK.

What most people on the forum will recommend with regards to Pool Parties is Wet Republic @ MGM on the Saturday and EBC @ Encore on the Sunday.
I can vouch for this also as last year I attended both these parties and can only say that both were off the hook, incredible. I beleive that EBC is the new hot party on a Sunday and has regular top DJ's spinning. Might be worth convincing your friends that Rehab might not necessarily be the happening place no more.

With regards to the sandwich trick, I have tried it twice at PH and on both occassions it works a treat. It all really comes down to the staff at the reception who is checking you in. Worth a bash anyway because if they won't upgrade you, you'll get your money back.

So I am thinking about completely revamping the plans above... I am hoping to be moving over to the Four Seasons (at the top of Mandalay) because I might be getting comped through work.. Or alternatively the Palms because I found a pretty ridiculous rate. So that leaves our party locations completely up in the air... Sunday is still the pool party day... But I just think Encore is going to be way out of our price range. How is WR on Sundays? I haven't looked into cabanas/tables at EBC but I would expect their mins to be higher than Rehab or WR on Sunday... Saturday I would totally do WR (as I hear thats the best day) but my flight gets in around 4. Clubs I have no idea what were doing. But let me ask you guys this, if you had to chose cabana at a pool party, or bottle service at a club and you could only do one for the duration of your trip, which would you do? Thanks

Hey mate, thought I'd throw my 10p worth in here..

I stayed at the HRH last time I was in Vegas and am going back there next week for a bachelor party over Easter. I know we are going to be spending a lot of time in taxis / limos to and from the strip but I feel like I should speak up for the HRH.

Last time we were there I loved it. It's smaller than the strip hotels and I think it gives it a more fun and party feel. You don't have gambling areas the size of a football field where you will lose everyone, you don't have families and little old ladies - the majority of the people there have the same plan, to party like rockstars. There is one central bar that is great for some pre-gaming drinks and meeting people, the rooms are nice and I really had no complaints. I also did the $20 trick when I checked in and got a free upgrade to a much nicer room.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you paid for Rehab tickets, as when I was there we walked straight into Rehab for free just because we were staying in the hotel that night, so you should be all sorted. Now onto Rehab..

..I read that some people look down on this because it is seen as a spring-break type party that is just a crazy, day-long, freakfest orgy...

..and that is exactly what it was like for us and we absolutely loved it! I can't remember what the music was like, I can't remember exactly what I did there for 6 hours, I can remember thinking that I'd died the night before and gone to heaven, and I do remember meeting a lot of friendly people and loving every second of it.

So I see HRH as fun alternative option, and if you're looking for a party hotel then I think you'll love it there.

Reading that report I'm pretty happy to have booked the HRH. What type of room had you booked and what did you get upgraded to, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks man I have no problem with anything you described about HRH. Our group is comprised of mostly 23-26 year olds, so were looking for a great party and to not spend an absolute fortune.

I was looking to change hotels mainly just because I work for Four Seasons and have a good chance of getting all three nights in a suite comped. Of course the downside is, being at the end of the strip at Mandalay, which same as the Hard Rock we'll spend some times in cabs. And being the fact that I work for FS I could get in some serious trouble if myself or someone else in our group gets out of hand. It is after all "the quiet" luxury hotel in Vegas. I mainly am considering doing this because I have to use up my nights by August and don't want them to go to waste... Oh and free suites are always nice!

Hard Rock sounds a lot like the Lake Tahoe Casinos I visited in January. One large room where you can see your buddy playing craps directly across from you at the BJ table.

About Rehab, I have just heard that it has gotten a bit douchey with Jersey Shore A-Holes infesting the place with their orange spray tans... Is this overly noticeable? I figure no matter where we go in Vegas we'll see a bit of this, but I don't want to get stuck as the minority in a majority of douches. The crazy party scene seems like something I might just want to experience, all the pictures I have seen of EBC looks toned down and all about fashion... You're at the pool people you should expect to get wet.

Regardless I am sure we're going to make it a lot of fun and have some great stories!

              Hey gents,

Firstly regarding the upgrade, I booked through a third party travel operator and we were in a 'mountain view' room in the old part of the hotel. The $20 sandwhich got us a delux corner room in one of the new towers that overlooked the pool and the strip.

Especially as it is a group of guys going we just liked the feel of the place, stuff like they have good music playing all day long, a smaller gaming area means quick drink service...and little stuff like the tattoo parlour if the night really gets out of hand.

To put rehab into context I went there straight after getting back from a Palms wristband Saturday night....no sleep. Things are a bit hazy but I remember it was awesome, and being pasty little English guys (almost the exact opposite of a Jersey Shore type) we certainly didn't feel out of place and just tore it up. I somehow lost my underwear, but not my shorts...still haven't worked that one out.

I guess Four Seasons would be a nice option, especially as it is free..but like you say, you don't want to be worrying about having too much in your employer's back yard. I think I'm banned from Hyatt hotels for similar reasons, but that's another story...

Howd you like the Palms wristband night? Did you do hosted bar? I am thinking this is an option for night 1 (Sat night) followed by Rehab followed by Vanity Sunday night (if we make it)

Really liked that night. We didn't do the hosted bar but I think we did something like Ghostbar - Playbay - Moon - Rain - Moon - Rain - Playboy - Moon - Ghostbar..after that it gets a bit crazy. We probably spent a lot on drinks so if I went back and I had the option of free drinking in Ghostbar for a couple of hours I'd definitely do it.

We left the Palms at about 3:30am, tried and failed to get into Drais, then went back to the HRH for a 'quick gamble' at 4am, we find a table and get stuck into the vodka redbulls...

..next thing I know I've checked my watch and its 10am! We'd been sat there for 6 hours! The HRH also does a Sunday brunch with free cava, so we had that and then staggered into Rehab.

I managed to get through Rehab and then to Vanity afterwards. Vanity was absolutely kicking, but by that stage I was losing the power of speech.

So if you go for it, it will be an awesome 24 hours of partying, but your body won't forgive you for a long, long time.

Bringing this back up. I have bought my tickets and the rest of the group is pretty much outta the equation... Hopefully have found some replacements, but in the mean time anyone there this weekend want to meet up and party?

Sounds good to me! It will also be my first time in Vegas (post turning 21). None of my plans are concrete after EBC on Sunday afternoon. If you are flying in early on Sunday its the place to be on Sunday afternoons according to the forum! After EBC on Sunday (if I'm not dead) I think The Bank or Lavo are the places I plan on checking out. I can't effing wait!

Just to clarify....only 2 of the cast members are actually from NJ Sammi & Deena, the majority are from NY, and one from RI.

And no, you don't see the "Jersey Shore A-holes" infesting the place...there's all different types of people running around that place partying like animals.

If you have never experienced it yet, then I say go for it, especially since you have free admission for staying at the hotel.

On my next trip, I was going to skip Rehab cause I've been there so many times, but we have a few newbies who are dying to go there, so we're going.

Trust me....you'll have a good time there.
