Mandalay Cabanas

Long-time lurker; first post - thanks in advance for the help. These forums are an amazing resourse.

I will be with a group at TheHotel this weekend and the Mandalay cabana hosts have indicated that there is no availability for June 11 & 12. What is the best approach to get a cabana in this situation? I assume that some cabanas are either held by the casino hosts for comps or that there are some reservations that will ultimately get cancelled. A number of us do plan to get rated at the casino and gamble a decent amount. In addition, we are not averse to a limited amount of bottle service if that will help. What do you think our options are for getting a cabana under these circumstances?

Best bet might be to hit them up the day of and see what they can do. Have money in hand though

Grab a pit boss while you are gambling and tell him you want to get a cabana, tell him you will take care of him if there is anything he can do.

I had this happen to me when i booked my last bottle service at rain... they said, "sorry the cabanas are all booked"... My host then told me that if my party of 12 would commit to three bottles and i would put down my credit card and drivers license and sign a "no backing out" contract and fax it back to them, then i would be guaranteed my cabana... sure enough it worked. Like the previous posts said... imo they are holding them for a few high rollers just in case they need them... but if you put the money down up front with your card... they might just go for it... and always let your host know that he/she will be taken care of and i think he/she will do her best to make it happen...

Thanks for the options so far. I hadn't thought about asking a pit boss. That might be a good plan since we'll be gambling Thursday and wont need the cabana until Friday. I guess the real question is who has the control and who should we approach - a cabana host, casino host, pit boss, or otherwise...

Pit boss, call him over and speak to him on the side quietly.

They will help you for sure if you offer him a 50 or 100 spot.

I did this 2 years ago there and he got me a cabana for no charge, our bill at the cabana was just for food and drinks, no cabana charge, no admission.
