got an interesting email from MGM about a new possible program they may be implementing. heres a quick overview of how it would work: you would book a room with MGM and you would have the option to charge $500 at checkin to your room and use that $500 any way you want within the mgm premises over your stay.....food, tickets to shows, I think wet republic (im still looking into this) and if you take advantage of this you become a member of the prima club and receive a card and you will then be considered VIP and are entitled, vip checkin, guaranteed free suite upgrades, vip entry to studio 54, wet republic, tabu etc. 2 for 1 drinks at the lounges located within mgm and more what does everyone think about this? Is it something that you would take advantage of? My first opinion is a good one, I look at it like this: I am definitely spending $500 while im out there and if it guarantees me a cabana at wet republic and I can apply the credit there then its a no brainer and the rest is gravy. I would like to hear feedback on what others think.

It sounds like pretty cool deal. So just by charging the $500 to your room, you automatically get all those member benefits? If so, I'd definitely be down. I guess it's a way for them to guarantee guests spend a certain amount of money; you'd have to really want to go to Wet Republik though because I can't think of anything else I'd really spend money on at MGM (besides table games?).

My friend and I stayed at the MGM. We spend a lot of money there. We ate breakfast there everyday except for one morning and had 3 dinners there and spend a lot of money at the pool and bars.
They comped it! I didn't even talk to anyone! I just got my bill at the end and they thanked me and only kept the gratituities on there! We spent had least $500 at the hotel.Last edited by brazeneye; 06-10-2009, 05:29 AM.

Did you charge it to the room? If so, did they just comp it that way?Originally posted by brazeneye View PostMy friend and I stayed at the MGM. We spend a lot of money there. Charged it all to the room, and it was comped.Originally posted by Cisco419 View PostDid you charge it to the room? If so, did they just comp it that way?
I thought I was special, but I'm not. My Dad made arrangements behind my back and called up the Casino Manager at the Mirage and asked us if he could do something for me while I was in Vegas. My Dad is coming in September and is going to "take care" of him while he's there. I guess he's used this guy over the years.. I had no idea until I checked out.. so I my food/drinks comped and just the tips sat on my bill. Should have gotten the cabana!!!!!

No kidding!! But that's okay. At least I know now! Next trip I'm going to ask if it's okay if we try it again, and I'll try and make better use of it. Maybe get a table and see if we can get a bottle comped or somethingOriginally posted by Cisco419 View Posthaha, yes you should have!!!
